Best ground sheet
Works great for my mountainsmith celestial2. Slept in temps and rain down to 42deg and the ground sheet kept the floor from being damp and covered by condensation.

Lightweight but sturdy groundsheet!
Purchased this as a groundsheet for use with our mesh tent / tarp combo camping set-up. Knowing that Tyvek can shrink up to 5% after washing I made sure to order slightly bigger than we needed, and after scrunching up then washing on a delicate cycle in our top-loading washing machine, the groundsheet ended up the perfect size! (The scrunching and washing significantly softened the material, so that it was not noisy to lay on.) One side of the Tyvek was grey in colour, which made it easy to consistently place one side on the ground and keep the upper side more clean. Any muddy bits were wiped off with a damp cloth when we got home, which removed most dirt, though there was a little staining - no different from most groundsheets. It was light, packed small, and will be my groundsheet of choice moving forward - much better value than most commercial tent-specific footprints. It came with 4 stick-on holes that could be used to peg it down, but we haven’t had need of them this far. Great product conveniently sized and packaged - highly recommend for anyone wanting a quality groundsheet that’s easy on the weighing scales!

It Works Under My Tent
Pros: almost two-dimensional when unfolded and lightweight. Seems rugged and water-resistant enough for a season or two.Cons: too expensive and to thick when folded.

Bought for backpacking
Ended up not using it but it was nice peace of mind just in case we needed it. This is a highly recommended backpacking trick to use for ground cloth or tarp. Cannot speak to its durability but it is sturdy material and light weight. Keeping it on hand for the next trip.

Worked perfect for my two man tent as a footprint
Needed only minor trimming as it was nearly the perfect size. Ran it through the washing machine once to minimize the crinkle noises

Great buy, very light.
I bought this to go with a 2-lb, 2-person tent that sets up with trekking poles or even sticks. It was the perfect footprint for the tent, and I believe it provided some insulation from the cold ground, because I was comfortable with this, my insulated inflatable ultra-light air mattress, and my 20-degree sleeping bag on a 29 degree night. I sleep really cold due to circulatory issues, so I was happy to be warm enough. It folds down into nothing (= 10 sheets of notebook paper?) and weighs almost nothing, and I'm probably going to get a larger piece of Tyvek for my larger tent because this is superior to the tarp I was using with it.

Bit overpriced
Bought this, cut it to size, then found out my tent manufacturer actually sells the same thing, already cut to size, for about 1/3 less.Moral of the review is that sometimes it's better to check first.

As expected
Addendum: Took this on an Appalachian Trail section hike. Fiancés sleeping bag was lost - the Tyvek and some garbage bags made an excellent substitute.Good size, straight cut, exactly as described

Tyvek for a groundsheet
A great product to make a groundsheet. It's better to wash Tyvek, before cutting out the desired shape, on dellicates (cold water) and without any detergent, twice to stop it from being noisy, and to prevent further shrinking. Do not put Tyvek in the dryer.
