It Works if You Know What You're Doing!
I am a complete novice at bottle cutting, so it comes as no surprise that my first 3 attempts were failures. The 1st and 2nd failed because my score lines didn't match up. The 3rd was a1.5 litre vodka bottle which was a bit ambitious for a starter! It exploded during the hot/cold process and I'm still picking out bits of glass from my hair. Once I figured out how to lock the rotating blade, and how to keep the system steady, it works a treat. Until I get more confidence, I am wrapping the bottle in a tea towel during the hot/cold process. It takes longer but the shattered vodka bottle taught me a lesson.

Gave it the benefit of the doubt
I read the reviews, having some experience with these i thought i would give it a go. I liked the cutter arm over the top.The swivelling cutter was fixed with a piece of masking tape i used, had to resit the handle though so i could properly align.I scrored several bottles, but i think the swivelling aside, its also the wonkyness of the arm that doesnt help much. Might not be helped by the fact some bottles are not perfectly circular.I may still try to use the rollers with my dremel, but i would pay £30 odd quid for that given i have ordered wood to build one.Its possible, i suppose to master it with time, but getting the perfect score with these gadgets isnt easy at the best of times.i wouldnt recommend anyone purchase it.

Good idea poorly executed.
Numerous options for adjusting and setting various parts firmly in place EXCEPT the cutting head. Arguably the most important part you want to be accurate. You have to hold it in place whilst pressing down and turn the bottle with the other hand. Invariable you are not going to keep a straight line. Very disappointed with it. I'm going to fashion something to keep the cutting head in place otherwise I would be sending this straight back and ordering a more basic version with a fixed cutting head.

Small, portable and works great
I like how easy this was to set up. It is my first glass cutter and I am very satisfied. I have made near perfect cuts almost every time, even with very thick wine bottles. It takes patience and a lot of back and forth with the boiling hot water and ice water.I have a bit of a hard time keeping my line from veering to one side before making it all the way around. Maybe I am pushing too hard. I am very new to this.

Instructions are useless
Some of the items in the box are not even included in instructions, seriously too much research to figure out what your doing wrong . Conclusion worst cutter I have worked with. After 5 bottles frustrated and not one good cut. Don't waste your money. It'll probably go to the garbage>
