Yes. Wire cutters can cut down to size.

Hi - no these items would not withstand being painted. They are made of a fine filament/color and quite lightweight overall in texture, so probably wouldn't work to spray paint them. We handed them out as mementos at my mothers memorial service last year, for people to plant in their gardens or window boxes to remember her. Hope this helps answer your question.

this is a resilient plastic material. Very thin and metal for the stem/stick. In AZ we don't often get windy days, but they were fine on regular type wind. When we did have storms some would bend/lean over. But none ever came apart. They either disappeared, leaned or survived. Can't say if storm or kids made them disappear.

Yes! I use them outside on a fake pine tree and they stay put.
