Well packaged, though a bit bulky to pour from.
Used this to dry some flowers in the microwave, and it seems to work well. The blooms kept a lot of their colour, kept their shape, and were not brittle. The bag is a little difficult to pour from, but just a minor niggle. Good product.

A large bag of silica gel pearls that can be used for multiple dehydrating purposes
As someone who has doubled with drying flowers as well as an avid 3D printer these silica gel beads are very handy. Not only are they useful if you drop your mobile phone down the loo you can plug it in a bag of these and it does a very good job (yes I've had to do this)You can also use it with dehydrating flowers. But my main use of me personally was keeping inside a box with pla 3D filament to keep the moisture from ruining it.Reusable by putting it in a oven for a short period of time and drying it out overall this is an essential piece of kit for my 3D printing Hobby.

Does the job!
I ordered this bag of silica pearls to dry some flower heads that I needed for some projects. They did a wonderful job, too!I poured the bag of pearls into another more rigid plastic airtight container. This made it so much easier to handle. This way, I was able to pour some into my tub, add my flowers, and then, using a spoon, gently pour the pearls in amongst the petals. This gave great results!I love the fact that you can reuse these too! Just dry them out and go again! It makes this all the more cost-effective and gives you more fun!I know there are many other ways of using this product, but so far, this is the only way I have personally used it. But I'd definitely recommend this pack, though. xXx

so good to get this in bulk. Brilliant
I havent used this for flower drying (I may give that a try some time in the spring or summer when flowers are around, lol). I ordered it to use in my garden shed/office. we have created some secondary glazing plans and know that condensation is going to be an issue so we are going to use these. Cannot attest to the effacicy of them yet, but I am super glad I could get them in bulk. I had been plannign on saving all the little packets of "DO NOT EAT" temptations that come in various shopping items though that woudl have taken an age and a half. This is definately better.

Good sized bag, and has indicator beads, so you know when they need re-activating
This is a good sized bag (34 x 29 with a gusset); enough to do a bouquet, I'd guess. And having the crystals that change colour is so useful, in knowing when the gel crystals might need re-charging.It also has very useful directions on the back, regarding how to prepare flowers in the most effective way, ready to dry.To be honest though, I got these for the age-old reason of back-up, in case I drop my phone in water!Yes, most phones these days are water-resistant, but that doesn't mean that you can fish them out and just carry on using them as if nothing happened, particularly if they're several months old. You're relying on seals that are entirely hidden to prevent water ingress into parts of your phone that you can't see, in order to protect your phone from rust, internal condensation, or worse, shorting out entirely. Myself personally, I like the insurance of knowing that if my phone did get entirely immersed for more than a second or two, I have the ability on hand to dry it out internally. Same is true of any other small electrical device (friend had one of his airpods fall from his ear down the loo last month--that's an expensive way to 'spend a penny'!)Silica remains the most reliable way to dry out a phone or similar, so it always pays to have a bag in the house, as you have to do it immediately. And compared to the price of replacing my phone, a bag of good quality silica gel seems a good investment. So, not exactly an 'on topic' review, but I hope it's useful all the same!

Fine-sized <=1mm silica gel, perfect for a wide range of tasks that require the removal of moisture.
This is a decent amount of silica gel beads that arrive nicely packaged in a fairly large heat-sealed plastic pouch with a bunch of multi-language instructions and branding printed onto it. It has a resealable grip-seal style opening at the top, and the sealed section has a quick-tear tab. Inside the outer packaging you’ll find a clear vacuum sealed bag with the same quick-tear top on it that contains a 90/10 mix of normal and orange to green indicating silica gel.The silica is a very fine grade that is much smaller than some other brands out there, they’re stated at a size of less than or equal to 1 mm and that checks out from what I received. If you’re after a very fine silica gel, then this is the right stuff to get. Performance wise this matches up to any other good quality silica based desiccant and this has the additional benefit of being able to fit into smaller cracks and crevices for the intended application, which is for drying flowers for preservation. It can be reused hundreds of times with minimal efficiency losses like any other silica, and the recommended methods on the packaging are 7–10 mins in a 700w microwave or 30–60 mins in a 90-130c oven.Despite the claims of this being a low-dust product on the listing, I will say that if you’re someone who intends to work with silica gel even on a semi regular basis, you will definitely want to invest in proper respiratory PPE as airborne silica particles are nasty. Ideally a respirator half-mask when pouring or handling it alongside proper ventilation as it will inevitably kick up some dust. That’s pretty much all there is to this product, you need to supply all the other items required to dry out flowers by yourself but they’re simple everyday items like an airtight container, mask, gloves and a soft brush for removing silica from crevices in the petals. Fonday sells other kits with sealed containers and other items for a few quid extra alongside the silica, but this one is just plain old silica gel. I primarily use silica gel for dry boxes for various delicate electronics and for 3D printer filament storage, and this has performed just like my much larger diameter stuff from Fonday. With this being the smaller bead sized type of silica, it does cost more than the typical 2-5mm bead size. Despite that, I was pleasantly surprised to see that this isn’t all that much more expensive than the larger stuff from Fonday themselves and my normal brand for silica, Trustleaf. I’m talking maybe a few quid in difference for a comparable weight of desiccant, making this is a great product at a good price in my opinion if you need the finer grade stuff, that is.

1A Trockengranulat zum Wiederverwenden
Trockengranulat.

einfache Anwendung, gutes Ergebnis
