Dan Aykroyd wrote, directed and stared in a film while the studio was busy focusing on another project far away.As such, the budget spiraled and it's amazing.If you want a bizzare little snippet from movie history, you can't go wrong

This film is well underrated. It's a fun romp with a great cast strolling through some bad taste shocks.Last Podcast on the Left like it, and so do I!

Was a firm favourite when I was a kid...I now realise it isn't great. But worth it to see the Digital Underground performance :)

This is one of the best comedies ever made. A timeless classic if your down and need a boost this will cheer you up. Well worth the buy.

States the movie has closed captions. Got this for my wife who is hard of hearing and it doesn’t have any closed captions on it whatsoever. Our player is even set to automatically put them on with any disc that supports it…. This sadly and definitely does not.

Remember this as a kid so bought as a gift...bonkers movie haha

First time watching it and it was hilarious, great all star cast with special appearance by Tupac! A comical take on Texas chainsaw with an original story

A classic black comedy horror film worth watching. It is fun, disturbing - in a good way -, entertaining, and by the time you notice you are already deeply drawn into Valkenvania and its amazing worldbuilding.Thank you mr. @Dan Aykroyd, for this lovely gem! :D

Hab eine DVD mit Region Code 1 erhalten mit dem Ergebnis, dass ich sie auf einem gewöhnlichen in Deutschland erworbenen DVD-Player nicht abspielen kann. So muss ich mich erst mal wieder verbiegen, um das Teil ans laufen zu bekommen.Vielen Dank liebe Filmindustrie! Wer ehrlich kauft, ist mal wieder der Arsch.Gibt trotzdem noch 3 Sterne, weil der Film einfach sau lustig ist! ;-)

Ob man Dan Aykroyds Regiedebüt nun als gelungen oder nicht beurteilt, vermag an dieser Stelle außer Acht zu bleiben. Die Bewertung meinerseits bezieht sich auf die erworbene RC-1 US DVD und diese ist leider eine nicht so spaßige Angelegenheit wie der Film: Es befindet sich einzig und allein der Film auf dieser DVD. Keine unterschiedlichen Audiospuren bzw. Sprachen, keine Untertitel und kein Bonusmaterial. Selbst das Menü trotzt einem mit einer unglaublichen Lieblosigkeit entgegen und verweigert selbst der Kapitelauswahl eine Vorschaufunktion.Wer den Film für wenig Geld sein Eigen nennen möchte, kann bedenkenlos zugreifen. Bild- und Tonqualität sind vergleichsweise gut. Wer allerdings gern wenigstens Untertitel für den englischen O-Ton, geschweige Bonusmaterial oder andere Sprachen wünscht sollte lieber auf die Suche nach der mittlerweile vergriffenen deutschen Version gehen.
