Such mixed emotions
I've loved this series so far. I found the fourth book hardest to get through but still written so well. All the others I flew through but this is my favourite. The writing, world building and characters are amazing but the plot twists are next level.Needless to say I can't believe I've got to wait for the next book because that is one hell of a cliff hanger.

Mixed Feelings
I don’t know how I feel about this and I feel like I need time to decongest. I love this series but I didn’t love this. Someone described it as filler and I think that’s how I feel. I really don’t like this ending and I don’t think I needed 643 pages to get me to the final book.Sigh 3.5 stars. Will take some time to think and come back with another review. Maybe.————I wasn’t sure how I felt when I finished this last week but I’ve had time to decongest and can now articulate my thoughts. I love this series but I didn’t love this. It’s not bad but compared to Gleam (which I devoured in a day because I LITERALLY couldn’t put it down), this felt like a book weight that should have been a 100 pages of setting the scene before the events of the final book. What I liked - character development (we finally get Malina’s redemption arc), world building of Annwyn, Slade’s revenge trip (the satisfaction of destroying ones’s enemies resonated - though I think he could have gone further). What I didn’t like - the fact that my favourite thing about the series was none existent here (trying not to be too spoilery). I also hate the ending - like very unnecessary. Completely. Some of the plot twists were also super obvious (humans in Annwyn? I wonder who they could be!).All in, I still give this 3.5 stars. It wasn’t a bad read - I just wanted soo much more of something different. I imagine it’s like a vampire being given waters from the fountain of youth - I mean delicious but yeah I live on blood now. Gimme that! For all the wrong (?) reasons - absolutely cannot wait for Goldfinch. I am desiccating from thirst.

Great read!!
I don’t know what to say ....... this was just fantastic! What a rollercoaster of emotions I went through. I need to sit in a dark room and process everything that happened.Such a gripping and intense story and what a cliffhanger of an ending! I seriously can’t wait for the next book.

Another great book!
Wow! There were so many twists and turns in this book, some I saw coming, others not so much, but it was a roller coaster! Another great part to the series and with lots of action throughout both the orean and fae worlds. That ending though!! Roll on the final book, I'm excited to see how this all ends.

Great continuation to the series
While a whooping 600+ pages seemed like a lot, and at times it was going a little slow, I really enjoyed reading this next chapter of the characters. Most of the book was from Auren and Slade’s POV but he had glimpses of Osrik and plenty of Malina’s. The latter was the one I enjoyed the most. Malina is such an understated character but one that has seen as much growth if not more than Auren herself. I loved the banter and sexual tension between Malina and Dommik too. I loved Dommik too! And all those revelations in the end? Yep, all wroth the wait. All in all great addition and I really look forward to reading the last novel in the series.

what a ride!
This was insane! I couldn’t put it down not even for a second. And honestly… I’m not sure how I will survive until the next book is out!I know I will… but still. This story had all the things. New villains AND heroes came out… old villains came back. Slade nearly lost himself. And Auren… dear sweet Auren is in for a world of trouble. But I’m ready for it all!!

Another amazing book!
I’ve read reviews stating this book was just filler and was slow but I strongly disagree. This book was necessary to begin to tie up the loose strings. From the beginning, I’ve known that Auren and Slade would need to mend the history between Orea and Annwyn. I wasn’t sure how that would be accomplished but it was obvious that was going to happen before the series ended.I’m so glad Raven decided to have the series be 6 book and not rush the ending. There is so much more story to tell!I enjoyed Malinas redemption arc, I can’t believe that I’m actually typing that but I’m curious to see how her and Dominik’s story ends up.The only thing I really wish we’d seen in this book is Rissa waking up. I love Osrik and his anguish was palpable so I would enjoyed seeing that arc conclude before the craziness of Goldfinch.I cannot wait to read the last book!

Absolute genius
I ate this one up. Cannot wait for the next book, it's so amazing to see all the plot twists and knots unfurl and band together! Raven is truly one of the best authors there are out there!
