The smell is quite strange, a bit like oud, a bit musky, but in a spiced type of way? Hard to describe. The longevity isn't bad and the perfume isn't super overpowering, but it is quite strong at first. There are prettier perfumes out there, this smells like something that could have potentially been part of some spice rack somewhere...

Does not smell a bit like Daisy by Marc Jacob's was tempted to return but friend liked the smell so gave it to her ....Disappointed...glad it was cheap should've known better

I'm not familiar with what inspired it. Well I am familiar with it generally speaking, it smells like my mum and my auntie when I was little and they were still in their 20s.This fragrance is a real assault to the senses, you could almost chew the pong coming off when I opened the lid. It does dry down to a lovely floral fragrance, but that initial blast is just too much for me, and I can't see, or wouldn't want to see, anyone under the age of 40 wear this. Absolutely, if you're going for mid-level exec xmas party chic then one hundred percent go for it. I could imagine Diane Lockhart wearing it. Accidentally... Once.

I'm not the biggest enthusiast of perfumes and cologne, etc, because I have a relatively sensitive nose and overpowering fragrances tend to give me a runny nose, headache, etc. Unfortunately, this did fall short for me as the scent was quite strong and powerful, even using just a tiny bit.My girlfriend tried this and she wasn't a fan either.The bottle design isn't anything fancy, and just of a cuboid shape and there's no colour to it, just transparent with a sticker, so it doesn't look very presentable. This isn't an issue for me, since I don't need a fancy bottle, and this actually makes for easier arrangements in the toilet.£14.99 for 50ml is quite reasonable, if the smell was actually pleasant. However, in this instance, I just don't think it's worth the money. It's better to spend a little bit more for better quality.

I want to start by saying that I really enjoy using this perfume. It's a splendid idea to make affordable perfumes that retain the same longevity as the pricey alternatives. Unfortunately though, there is a lot of compromises in this.First of all is that the scent, in my opinion, is noticably synthetic smelling. It's a little harsh and overpowering at first, almost like a strong air freshener, and can be a little irritating to your nose. One squirt is more than enough to create a noticable scent on your neck or wrists, any more than that and it'll start getting quite sickly. That's not to say that it's unpleasant though.The smell is a little hard to describe. To me it's not like sandalwood that I've smelled elsewhere in essential oils or soaps. It's more just like a pleasant but synthetic smell. Over time it does mellow a lot so that its not as sharp anymore, which is good since it is pretty strong at first.I was very impressed with how long it lasts though. A squirt in the morning could still be noticed 3-4 hours later. Not as long as more mainstream brands but still very admirable. I was surprised at how long it lasted.I'd recommend this as a perfect day-to-day alternative to more expensive brands. Something you can wear to work or days out without worrying about the pricetag. Maybe not as nice to recieve as a gift, but still a nice thing to have on hand.
