Great microphones for on the go
I video conference a lot. Unfortunately that also means that I have to video conference when I'm traveling for work. When that is is the case I always want to pack light with as much capability as possible.The BOYA wireless lavalier microphone are a great solution for this situation. They definitely pack light with a small footprint. However, they are also easy to set up and use with my iPhone. Moreover, they sound good. They are not a substitute for a good desktop or studio microphone, but the sound is very nice for a travel solution.I have been pretty surprised with the battery life on these microphones. I have spent used them for hours at a time, essentially all day, and the batteries were right there supporting me. They claim a 10 hour battery life; I have used them for more than 8 hours at a time and still had battery life remaining.When using them, as with every lavalier microphone, microphone placement is important. Always clip these just below your collar bone to capture the deeper more resonate tones of your voice. I see a lot of people clipping lavalier microphones to their shirt collors and they sound thin as a result.
