Bike Upgrades
I've been tinkering with bike for the last several years. Kev from KevCentral talked these up in several videos and I figured I try them. I have an old 2004 Trek 4300 that my son rides. I decided to turn it into a 1x and change the cassette to give him a bigger low gear I knew these would be a good crank set to try. I had a time and half getting the old crank off the square taper bottom bracket. I've had my bike worked on in the past but it's been about 15 years since the crank set has been off and I had to get a gear puller to get it off. the IXF was very easy to install. I've installed a square tapper on my gravel bike this year and it was easy to but I'm sure if I ever have to take this apart again it will be much easier than the square taper BB. Great value for your money and super easy to install. Great product.

Great starter crank set.
Bought this set to replace a square taper crank and it worked great. Very smooth and balanced feel. A great set kit at an affordable price. The only thing you have to worry about is the chain line. This bearing type sits outside the bottom bracket body by about a quarter to half an inch which will push your chain line out by as much. I was changing the drive from a 3x24 to a 1x8 on a Mongoose Sector frame and luckily the chain line still set perfect. A similar change on a hardtail frame though pushed the line out so that going down to the 1st gear would throw the chain off the crank cog. 2nd through 8th worked fine but 1st was a no-go so I just set the derailer adjustment's to lock-out that 1st gear. Since I don't use 1st anyway it was no big deal.Something to keep in mind though if your DIY with your bikes. Aside from that, I love this bearing crank setup. It has a far better, balanced feel over the sealed cartridge system and a more secure arm attachment with a clampdown approach rather than the square tapers wedge-on and bolt.

For the money, fantastic.
For the money, this is a great crank. To me it's almost identical to my old XT crank from 10 years ago. The bottom bracket it comes with is very cheap. The bearings were squeaking after a couple rides. I replaced it with a Shimano bottom bracket, and it's great. Honestly, even if it didn't come with a bottom bracket, I still think it's a good deal. Lighter than i expected too. I wouldn't say it's super light, but it's definitely not heavy.

Pedal threads disintegrated
Everything went well with install and had about 3-4 rides with the cranks on. During my last ride with the I noticed the pedal was lose. Come to find out the threads where the pedal attaches was completely stripped and hollowed out. Very disappointed!

Awesome CranK Set
Purchased this to replace my square bottom bracket. Took me a little while to find a 175mm arm set but I finally did. Seems most on here are the 170mm length. Time will tell on the bottom bracket nut seems to be of decent quality. It definitely is much smother than the square taper I removed. Crank arms were a nice looking cast. I did not have any issues with the look of them. They were very easy to install. Would like to see at least an aluminum tightening screw instead of plastic but I just removed mine after everything was torqued down.Several rides in so far on various trails and small jumps with no issues. Take you time installing and they can make a huge difference to your bike.

Not good for a BMX setup with 68mm BB shell and 110mm rear hub
Tried on a DK Pro BMX frame as a replacement for the cheap tapered cranks that came with it. Chainline was off a bit to the outside even using no spacer on the drive side. Had to use 2 spacers on the non drive side. This left cranks off center and chainline still off. Created a tight spot in the chain. I will work but not ideal. I would say a 73mm shell on a MTB with a 130mm rear hub would give a better chainline. Plenty of clearance for cranks on this DK BMX frame. I did think the bearings in the Bottom Bracket were very nice and finish was nice except for several dings on the crank arms. The chainring bolts also worked well. Everything fit nice just chainline off for my application. I would be concerned for larger folks riding these as they are hollow back cold forged type aluminum cranks. Pedal washers would have been nice to include in the set. You get what you pay for. I will work for this is a loaner bike in our kids BMX training league.

Good Value. Flexible setup.
I needed to replace an old triple that I had converted into a single with a bash guard because the pedal threads got stripped out beyond repair. I had used the red version of these on a previous build for a kid and they seemed totally fine. Just grabbed another set of 175mm to put on my hardtail 29er configured to be 1x with bash guard and it's perfect. I had to use the spacers for the bottom bracket so the crank spindle splines were in the right place, but I used the old higher quality XTR bottom bracket that I already had installed. For the price, you really can't beat this crankset.
