Ideal for use as it is designed!
I think this would be a great product for air con pipework etc. Unfortunately, I was trying, as an experiment, to use it for something for which it was not designed, and it didn't work. This is NOT to detract from the product in any way, seems well made, relatively easy to cut to get the sections that you want etc, so I think it would be a quick and easy way to expand or contract air conditioning (etc) plastic pipework. Very fast delivery, very well packed.

Simple, cheap, sturdy, and of course it works, and, I can't imagine how anyone could say it doesn't.
Don't believe the naysayers I had to laugh, reading all the negative comments about how this product is 'useless', 'doesn't work', 'is the wrong size' etc. It seems that these naysayers simply do not understand how these universal reducer connectors are supposed to be used. So, here it is: You have a ventilation outlet/inlet of 3 inch diameter, and want it to connect it to a 6 inch diameter fan outlet/inlet. or vice versa. You SIMPLY connect a 3inch hose to the 3 inch diameter fan outlet and connect the other end of that hose to the universal connector's 3 inch diameter section, THEN connect a 6 inch hose to the 6 inch diameter section and connect THAT hose to the 6 inch diameter fan outlet/inlet. In other words, you need a length of 3 inch hose and 6 inch hose and affix the reducer connector BETWEEN them. If needs be, you can always cut away the larger or smaller sections if they are unused and 'get in the way' and of course, your ventilation hoses can be as long or as short as you like.

Bought to fix a problem
I bought this to see if it might be adapted to a problem as the dryer hose and flexible hose wouldn't fit I needed to adapt a connector as a repair. Sadly the hose pipe is a very odd size that this item couldn't work. No fault with the item just not right for what we needed to do.
