Son of Southern Illinois: Glenn Poshard’s Life in Politics and Education Paperback – August 14, 2023

The first thing I said after reading it was WOW! The second was that each thread of the life described in the book could be used by a less active individual as their life work. Poshard was an inspiration by setting an example and by being human. I learned of the many things he was and still is involved in and it made me proud to have a man like him in Southern Illinois. A small section of Illinois, far south of Chicago, doesn't get much news coverage. I am very happy he took the time to write this book. I am an Illinois resident who lives outside the Chicago sphere. He demonstrates that you don't have to come from a big city to change the world.
