Orthofeet Women's Orthopedic Serene Leather Casual Shoes

I bought these shoes for my mother-in-law (83 years old) who suffers from neuropathy and edema in her feet and lower legs. She has a terrible time finding shoes that fit when her feet are very swollen that would also not be too large when swelling subsides. Due to decreased sensation in her feet, she cannot afford to have a shoe that will pinch or press. We tried SEVERAL different styles and brands before coming across these. What a find! The adjustable strap across the instep is perfectly placed and has enough hook-and-loop fastener to allow for adjusting as her feet swell and reduce. The toe box is roomy without being floppy or clumsy. The heel pocket is very secure, and the padding at the heel collar is snug. The heel pocket seems deeper than most shoes, but that makes for a better fit without bulk or being too high up the Achilles tendon or irritating the lateral bones. The soles are made of sturdy material and are wide and stable. The material is not too "grabby" on carpet, a problem we had with another brand which caused a trip hazard. While it is a sturdy sole, it is not overly rigid and allows for proper foot roll. The top of the shoe has small cut outs that make the shoe really cute and provides extra ventilation (we live in Florida). I ordered a 10 wide for my mother-in-law, and I think they are true to size. I wear a 9.5 wide and the 10 wide seemed spot on. The material is like nubuck, soft nap, great blue-black color. Love these shoes! And the product arrived on time, double boxed, with two extra sets of insole inserts for further fit adjustment.

I ordered what I usually wear, 8 1/2 wide, but these were a 1/2 size too small. I'd never get the thinnest socks into them. But I'm exchanging them because I like them... not too clunky, yet stable. I have flat feet, but I don't want a lot of arch support because that becomes painful, so the mild support in these reduces my over pronation without being dramatic. I needed a solid shoe for travel and I hate clunky running shoes in dumb, bright colors. I prefer a neutral.

I just received my shoes. I have arthritis in my knees and when I put the Orthofeet Serene Orthopedic shoes my and walked around the house my knee pain was gone. I highly recommend them to anyone who has any type of arthritis or any other foot problems. Love them. Thanks for an outstanding product.

I bought these as a Christmas gift for an 88- year old lady who lives with me who has cerebral palsy. Her right foot is badly deformed due to her condition. I had taken her shopping for shoes but was unable to find anything that didn't hurt her feet, so I decided to try these. She loves them and says they are the nicest and most comfortable shoes she's ever worn. Even though I still have to help her balance when she walks, I can definitely see a difference in her stability!

I generally buy Vionic shoes.But I really liked the info I read about OrthoFeet online.I have several problems with my back, hip and knees.I need a shoe that has great support, fits well, and absorbs the impact .So I ordered the Serene women's T strap, tan.The shoes arrived in a very short time.Beautifully wrapped, with extra insoles.These shoes are nicer than expected!I am pleased!!They fit so well.I can truly walk better.I will only buy OrthFeet from now on!!You must try a pair!!!

Described by manufacturer has a shoe for plantars fasciitis, but does not support plantars fasciitis. There is not enough arch support for plantars fasciitis.

Purchased these for my 91 year old mother in law. She recently had a small fracture of a bone in foot . We are attempting to have her switch from mules which she favors to a more secure model. This seemed to fit the bill . After walking around for a few minutes and appreciating the style and comfort she felt they were rubbing on her small toes. The fit of this 8.5 c/d seems right except for this. Had to return and hope the "e" width will not be too wide. We went up from her usual 8 to 8.5 based on other reviews.

These shows are great....I own three pair. I have tried many different shoes for RA and these are the only ones I can wear all day without foot pain. The wide toe, arch support, and different methods of fastening are the best features. Fast shipping and definitely worth every penny.
