These resistors are not the best deal if you are just wanting a large quantity of resistors in different sizes for home projects. But quantity isn't everything. These resistors are very good quality and packaged really well. Each size is in its own bag with a very clear label providing the resistance value. If you plan to leave your resistors in the original bags until you use them this is the best option.I tested some of them to verify the tolerances. My test was done with a Fluke 179 multimeter which is very good for project use but not considered a lab precision measurement device.470 ohm measured 462.42.2k measured 2.167k10k ohm measured 9.740k470k ohm measured 461.2kAll of them appear to be easily within the 5% tolerance (closer to 1% tolerance).

This Box has them all. Most any project can be built with this Resistor kit. Nothing will slow you down with this on your bench.

If you've built circuits on solderless breadboards, one of the main irritations is component leads that are super thin and bend in all sorts of ways instead of inserting into the socket like you want. So I took a chance on these 1/2 watt resistors. Leads are nice and thick, and work perfectly in a solderless breadboard on the 1st try. They are well packaged and organized. Recommended.

They're resistors and they work. The only reason for not giving them a 5 is the package marked 47 ohm, was actually the package containing 470 ohm and vice versa. Just check the color code before forming and soldering.

Super easy to find the right value resistor. They are edge stacked in well labeled ziplock bags. Also 1/2 watt size only slightly bigger than 1/4 watt but much easier to read color code.

I give this product about 3 stars because they are resistors and I needed a variety to stock, however after reordering from Jameco.com for more 470 ohm resistors I noticed the colors didn't match up so I looked closer. All of the 47 ohms were 41 the 470 was 410 the 4.7 was 4.1 the 470k was 410k.. over half the resistors were not the correct labeled value.

These resistors solder well, and appear to be well spec'd. My tester shows them well within the stated tolerance range. I really only needed some 10 and 22 ohm units, but buying this whole box was cheaper than buying them separate. They get the job done.
