I had been looking for a rack mount hub for a while. I do a lot with high powered radio equipment, and this thing isn't the least bit affected by high levels of HF radio transmissions! Simple plug&play ... I left the 2 switches in front off. I'm running 10 devices off this hub and haven't had any connectivity issues at all with anything. Rack mounting was straight forward... Perfect, absolutely perfect for my station!

I had a Netgear 8 port GS108 Pro Safe and it didn’t even last a year. I woke up one morning with the Netgear making a high pitched squeal and it was warm to the touch with no lights on. I even replaced the power supply cable and only 3/8 ports would work while dropping the connection. The Netgear was in a well ventilated open space on my computer desk and it was never dropped. I decided to go with TP-LINK 24 port and I’m hoping it will last longer. I really liked the price and the sturdy metal construction with the grids of leds. Full speeds and no issues running on a Nest Router and Google Wifi pucks hardwired to Ethernet. I’m keeping the TP-LINK on my backup UPS and hoping for the best. The 24 port was on sale for a little more than the 16 port TP-LINK. We will see how long it lasts, but I’m done buying Netgear.

Unit work fine, liked the older led outputs at ports over this side graph led display. One star off because of smell of overheated plastic ? Only two days of use, and odor is slowly dissipating. The extra led row of 1000 mbps is nice also.

The switch seems to be exactly what it says it is... a value priced, un-managed switch. I truly took it out of the box, mounted it in my rack, plugged it in and started using it. The only thing I ran in to that could be considered a negative is the fact that you cannot log in to the switch to check anything. There seems to be no MAC Address associated with the device nor any instructions as to how to log in to a web GUI if one even exists. Other than this oddity it just works!

I was replacing an older plasitc d-link gigabit switch with this unit. The sturdy metal design means you can plug in cables at any angle and the switch won't shift around when placed on a wooden surface. The fact it uses a standard AC power connector is a HUGE plus, I hate power bricks! The unit makes no noise and runs at the advertised speed
