Great tape for 1/2’s!
Only doing 4 stars because the fall of the tape is under 10 feet. But otherwise this is GREAT! The 1/2’s is a game changer for the DIY person!

Solid
This Lufkin has a solid hard plastic casing. Feels and looks like it's very well made. The self centering markings is a nice feature and not hard to read if your eyesight is half way decent. You get about an 8.5 to 9 foot standout (how long the tape extends before breaks/bends), which is very good for a 3/4" wide tape.The lock/unlock button is a bit different than my other tape measures where I can lock and unlock using only my thumb. Because of the position and design of the button, you use your thumb to lock, and your index finger to unlock. You'll hear a nice solid snap when locking and unlocking. You may or may not like this. I think it's fine. The recoil is fast but like any other tape measure that recoils fast you shouldn't allow it to snap back at full speed (at least not too often) because over time it could damage the internal coil mechanism. A way to prevent this from happening is to place your middle finger under tape as you unlock with your index finger to create a little friction to slow it down.I like this tape measure and see myself using it quite a bit.

GET IT!!! This thing has not only helped like you wouldn't believe but CUT time IN HALF. More accurate cuts and less waste all around. Buying several more for Christmas gifts. Great product.
