The most complete pole shapes set for the fitness pole and dancing pole. Review: Well organized, stellar graphics - This workbook is organized into levels of progressive difficulty. I was pleased to find the moves are not repetitive. I liked the touch of the spiral binding, the lightweight size, and the collection of quotes on the back cover. The only complaint is that the website that is listed in the book is intended for Russians. The book states "To pass a competency test under a certified coach and to receive a diploma, please contact the contacts listed at the end of the Catalog." I bought this item to use independently, but just know if you are buying it to use as intended, the website will not be useable to locate an instructor. Review: Cutely expensive pocket manual - I'm sure the dimensions are mentioned... but my lizard brain still didn't compute the price had nothing to do with the size. I'd assumed the price included glossy pages or a standard size as a previous reviewer mentioned. So Buyer Beware, tis true it's super tiny and generic quality. It's pocket size. Now, for the content. I DO love there are so many moves pictured. My studio has named the moves to their liking. However, it's easy to see the basic fireman and know it's our "fairy". The moves are easily identifiable. As the same previous poster stated, it would've been great to have transitional moves or sequences, but I believe this is meant to complement your classes if you're taking them. So despite being overpriced, I don't regret buying it because I feel I need this tool and I have money to burn on my favorite things. Now, since that's not always the case, I sincerely hope the vendor makes this pocket manual more affordable. I mean I just bought a nice, high quality yoga book at BAM in the mall. It was $15. So I hope my review helps those where every penny counts make the right decision. If I was hurting for cash, I'd have def returned this. But I do intend on keeping and using this lil sucker in conjunction with my class to improve. Because quite frankly, I kinda suck at pole.

Expensive. Not for a beginner.
Very expensive. This is a small spiral pamphlet; not a book. Pictures don't tell the entire story of "how to" arrive in the same position and they are small. Its been 6-yrs since I've taken classes and I wanted to tighten my core. This is not a beginner's book. Get a DVD. You have to have some knowledge to use it.

Teaches NOTHING
Should have listened to other reviewers; While the illustrations are nicely drawn out there’s no indication whether each move is done on spin or static there is no description of any of the moves and as a pole dancer and teacher I still couldn’t figure it out. Returned it. What a waste of money and so over priced

Great as a syllabus
This book doesn't teach you the moves, but it's a great syllabus for pole classes and a great tool for keeping track of were students are with skills.

Expensive Pamphlet
After purchasing it I went back and read reviews. Yes it's expensive for what it is. It's very small and thin. It is designed as a tool for teachers to monitor students progress. Under every pole move there is a space for the date and coach initials. It doesn't give any instruction. Even though I paid close to $30 for it, I'm keeping it as some sort of reference. Everything is expensive in the pole hobby! I bought another book, Pole Dance Fitness, by Irina Kartaly, which is so much more complete. It has color photographs, instructions, warmups, stretching and even recipes, for less money.

Highly recommend!
I'm really grateful to authors for such rich set of elements in a compact manner. Hopefully, now I'll be able to learn all the titles, so it should help me to explain to the teacher what I want. Highly recommend!

There are probably better products out there
I purchased this to help supplement my classes and current training regimen, but found I was a little bit disappointed due to some things being misspelled or (likely) incorrectly translated. Some of the moves listed are also not the "standard" names for pole tricks but there's enough space by each one to add in whatever you might call the move yourself. I like the idea of having the ability to add a date by each move as you complete them, but this is put together more as a "for the instructor" type of resource vs for the learner. It gives you some options to create combos based on different moves but does not really give you examples of combos to try, so unless you are already somewhat skilled in creating combos this book doesn't really give you much to go off of.

Hi, ya....not even close to what I had expected with 424 elements? Book is very simple illistrations, which doesn't make it bad, just hard to follow and images are very small with very limited instruction as to how to approach and execute the moves, there are 424 B&W basic drawings, but that is about it....RJ. I will NOT be recommending this to anyone. Sorry, just not what I was expecting.
