Boston Spice Southie South Boston Pickling Spice Seasoning Blend to Make Awesome Corned Beef and Pastrami (Approx. 1/2 Cup of Spice)

I have two things to say about Boston Spice Southie.1. It's expensive.2. It's so delicious I wish you could get it in a ready-to-use IV, or at least some kind of snack-pack food form you could eat with a spoon!Based on reviews, I tried this product for my homemade corned beef. Wow, and I do mean wow! NOTHING else I've ever tried even comes remotely close, so I bought some more! I will use no other product for pickling my corned beef. Ever. Besides just being extremely fresh, it has an intense potency, depth, and complexity of flavor that must be experienced to believe. Make no mistake about it, this is the real deal, and sure to tickle the palate of the most hardcore foodie alive.Store-bought, name brand pickling spice blends are an absolute joke compared to this stuff. These people obviously know their craft very well. I just wish it was a little cheaper, but hey, it's very rare that anything this good is cheap.

My first time making corned beef. The spices were super fragrant, and I made my brine with kosher salt and brown sugar. (And pink curing salt.) My package arrived with a different spice sample and a hand-signed note, which was a very nice touch. After five days in the brine I put brisket and chuck roast in my crock pot and when I woke this morning my place smelled like the Carnegie Deli on St. Patrick's Day. I will buy from Boston Spice again and again.

Bought this spice for my St. Patty's Day corned beef. Can I say it was wicked awesome? So glad the bag is big enough for multiple use and glad I bought extra corned beef. As the manufacturer boasted...I threw away the packet that came with the meat and will never go back to using that again. We usually have leftovers from St. Pat's dinner...not this year! We ate it all in one sitting it was that good.

I have know people to eat REALLY HOT Peppers that I could barely smell without feeling the burn.THAT IS A VALID DESCRIPTION FOR THE "BOSTON SOUTHIE" SPICE MIXTURE. While I was not able to handle it, I know many people who like their corned beef that way. For them...THIS IS YOU SPICE PACK. For ME...Something milder.

These spices are very fresh looking, tasting and fragrant. I added it to my brisket while cooking. There was an additional spice gift to my surprise called, Boston Hahbah Islands for seafood that I had on salmon the other night. It was not something I'd ever thought would pair well with seafood but it was shockingly good. I will definitely be purchasing that.

follow the instructions on the package and you wont be disappointed in the results. Side note: Simmer not boil is the key to a tender and juicy corned beef.

We needed a spice for our Corn Beef and this works wonderfully.
