This is an excellent product that I would recommend to anyone looking for a security camera.Detection is very good over a wide angle and distance and the video stored is clear and sharp even at night . It can take black and white images at night without needing to use the built in light which saves on battery use.The built in solar panel works well to top up the battery even in low light in the winter .The app was simple to install and made it easy to set up. There are options to select which notifications to receive (any motion, human etc) and the app allows you to connect and review live like a doorbell camera or record and review later.There is a live microphone link so you can communicate in real time with a courier etc if needed but I haven’t tried that yet.The camera automatically tracks and swivels as someone walks up and past it or you can set preferred views that zoom in to specific areas you want to monitor.Built in storage seems sufficient to store recorded video but it can be linked to a hub device if you want to store more video for longer.All in all it just works really well. I will probably buy a second one to monitor the back of the house as well . No hesitation in recommending this.

I purchased this as i wanted an outdoor camera with a good image quality and I already had eufy cameras at home. The reviews for this camera were good and I haven't been disappointed. Installation was very straightforward, needing only a few screws to attach the bracket to the wall. It comes with a solar panel, which so far has maintained the battery at 100%. It will be interesting to see how it works when there's less sunlight in the winter. The solar panel can be mounted separately and it comes with an extension cable that allows it to be mounted away from the camera.Connecting to the house wifi was simple and the signal strength is strong, just be careful if you have too many solid walls between the camera and your wireless access point, as this can reduce the wifi signal.I connected mine to the homebase 2, which gave additional storage space for video footage.The quality of the camera image is really good. It has AI tracking which will follow people moving around, which was a bonus. It also has infrared for nighttime,so the picture is good at night too.I didn't realise, it also has a spotlight, which can turn on when it senses motion. This is a good deterant to anyone who shouldn't be around your house, but also good to be able to see if you are outside in the dark.My only gripe isn't with the camera,it is the eufy software, which can be hit and miss when trying to download or view footage from the cameras. Sometimes it connects really quickly but other times it will just hang for ages and then fail to view it. I also don't understand why it doesn't record footage if you are live viewing thorugh the camera. I didn't realise this the first time it happened and I thought I could go back a view it but it wasn't there. If you want to keep anyhting you are live viewing, you need to manually hit record in the app, which then saves it to your device, not the camera or homebase. I have ring cameras as well and they store a copy of the video while livestreaming, but that comes at a monthly cost, which the eufy doesnt have. A small gripe but something to be aware of.Overall, so far I'm very impressed. Easy set up, good features and great picture quality. Time will tell whether the solar panel keeps the battery fully charged all year round.

A solid security camera, controllable through the Eufy app. I have had this for over a year now so this review is based on that length of time.Positives:Easy to use - Eufy cameras are easy to set up and controlNight Vision - Picks up humans, animals and cars every night.Sound quality - decent, can pick up conversations happening in my front garden.Notifications - come through instantaneously, and AI naming is nearly 100%Negatives:I have installed the solar panel and this does not work as it should, i still have to remove this camera and charge it via USB every few months. Not the end of the world, but other Eufy cameras with built in solar do not have this issue.

I’ve been gradually building out a Eufy security system around our home and this camera has been one of the best additions so far.Installation was straightforward, and getting it connected through the Eufy app was quick and hassle-free. The app itself is excellent – easy to navigate, responsive, and packed with useful features without feeling overly complicated.The picture quality is superb. During the day the image is sharp and detailed, and the dual-camera setup gives a much better view of the surrounding area than a standard fixed camera. The pan and tilt functionality works smoothly and makes it easy to cover a large area without worrying about blind spots.One feature I’ve found particularly useful is the activity zone and area mapping. It allows you to fine-tune exactly where motion is detected, which has significantly reduced unnecessary notifications from passing traffic and other irrelevant movement.The solar panel has also been surprisingly effective. Since installation the camera has remained fully charged without any need for manual charging, even with regular activity throughout the day. It’s very much a fit-and-forget solution.Integration with Alexa has been excellent too. I can view the camera feed directly on our Echo Show 11, which is incredibly useful when checking who’s outside without reaching for my phone.The fact there’s no ongoing subscription fee is another major advantage. Overall, this is a fantastic security camera that delivers excellent image quality, reliable performance and great smart home integration. Very impressed with both the camera and the wider Eufy ecosystem.

We have had an an Arlo security camera It was mounted on a south facing wall and when the sun shone directly on it, the camera took a recording, sometimes it took dozens of false recordings a day with no one there at all. There is no way to stop it doing this. We have just replaced it with a eufy Security SoloCam S340 & we are very please with it. We have mounted it in exactly the same position that the Arlo camera was positioned & there are NO false recordings activated by the sun. We used a square wooden fence post cap with a large screw positioned in the middle of it to fasten it to the house wall & screwed the camera bracket onto fence post cap. The Eufy camera was very ease to set up. We have an EE smart router with fast fibre broadband. It has 2 band speeds, 2.4 GHz & 5 GHz. The Eufy camera uses the 2.4GHz band speed & we had to temporarly disable the 5GHz band speed in order to synchronise the camera to the EE router. There are various settings on the camera, We set it for humans & vehicles & it records every time it sees a person or a vehicle, the picture is superb both day & night. From the security app we can swivel the camera & we can set a light to come on which shows the picture in colour at night. We charged the camera from the mains using the USB socket before fitting & positioned the solar panel on top of the camera. It keeps fully charged. This is an excellent security camera & we are very pleased with it.

UPDATE - SEE BELOW (APRIL 2026)I purchased and installed this unit in November 2024 and it ran seamlessly for 12 months - recording every time and notifying us as expected. Since November 2025, the unit has started to act sporadically and now records only around 10% of the activity it sees - even although the RED recording light is showing. To date we have conducted the following debug actions:- Remove and re-added the device to the Homebase, several times.- Updated Firmware.- Changed motion detection zones, sensitivity, tried colour and B&W modes, switched spotlight on and off, checked all settings for correct setup as per your website.- Linked then unlinked with other Eufy devices - Doorbell and Solar Cam (the doorbell has also started to fail to record too now!)Given the substantial investment in both our time trying to debug and financially, we now require some help from Customer Service to try and identify if this unit has failed or is failing (like the doorbell now appears to be doing too) - I've raised a complaint with Eufy Customer service and am awaiting a reply.I feel this issue maybe software related or has been caused by a Eufy update - the doorbell started acting up at the same time and it too ran perfectly for 12 months.Given the substantial amount we spent on this unit, a doorbell and another S120 camera, I'm disappointed that it's become unusable and can't recommend the Eufy products to others.UPDATE - APRIL 2026:Despite being contacted by Eufy Customer Support, my SoloCam S340 continues to be a piece of junk. Its ability to record changes from week to week - sometimes reliably so, sometimes not. We have tried mounting the camera at different heights and positions but all have resulted in the same inconsistent recording. At this point, I seriously suggest you look at another brand as this one neither works nor has the backup in its product support should anything go wrong. Definitely a 1-star product!!UPDATE - OCT 2026Amazingly, in July 26, my camera suddenly burst into life - stable, reliable, accurate and working well. Some digging shows that YET ANOTHER update had been done and now we're back to having a working unit. It continues to work in Oct 26, though I will not increase my star rating. There are clearly background issues with Eufy (now "Anker Eufy" by the way...) that make their products unreliable in the field.

Ive really invested in the Eufy cameras, owning the homebase, as well as two other cameras.The S340 has proved to the best camera ive ordered from Eufy so far.I have directly wired this camera on to a USB charger as it is north facing and struggled to maintain 100% through autumn and winter.I particularly like the light that automatically comes on when it senses movement.There are two cameras on this, one for 1 x zoom and the other for the 3 x zoom. This really helps you get better detail.The AI detection works okay, occasionally it recognises a fence post as a person, but that's a once in a blue moon issue.Easy to mount, would like something from Eufy to make it more secure on the bracket, but you do need a ladder to reach my camera.Very happy with it so far.
