This kit comes in a plain metallic-red bag. No advertising, picture, or anything else on the outside of the bag except for a product code sticker. I couldn’t figure out what it was for a minute when it arrived at my door. It would have been nice to have a large photo of the finished project on the outside for reference.The kit comes with everything you need to build a Santa Claus and snowman figure: yarn in various colors, stuffing, crochet hook, stitch markers, keyring, plastic eyes, yarn needle, and some little decorative fabric balls. The instructions are on one very large folded sheet with instructions on the front and back. This is a bit more awkward to handle while you’re working the project, but it also allows the instructions to be large and clear, so there are pros and cons here. The instructions start with illustrations, not photos, of the basic stitches. I actually prefer this over photos, as it’s more clear as to where and in which part of the stitch you are supposed to be working. If this isn’t enough, there are QR codes to get you to a video tutorial.The project pattern instructions are pretty awesome—mainly because of the pictures of literally each step, for example what stitch and where to work the next instruction. This is where I usually have trouble with these kits…not enough explanation about how to work in all the little details once the main body is done, but this kit does a good job of that without even having to go to the videos. When I say a lot of photos, I mean, a LOT of photos.Overall a good kit with cute Christmas-themed amigurumi. This would make an excellent kit for a beginning crocheter who already has a little bit of experience with basic stitches.

This Yarniss Crochet Starter Kit is for adult beginners. Although they provide instructions and a link to the video tutorial to follow along it is still hard to follow and some missing steps. Kit includes key chains, eyes & nose accessories, yarn, needle, hook, stitch markers and stuffing.

This is so convenient that everything you need for complete the job in one package. Such a good last minute thing to grab for my road trip and keep me busy in the car. Once you finished there will be almost no extra excess stuff to pack home except the knitting stick. So no extra burden for limited luggage space. Just not sure if one pack is enough to my trip though. Haha…

I received mine and the yarn was tangled beyond belief. Returning it. Don’t bother wasting your money. The directions are horrible and the video is even worse

I got this for my daughter after surgery. She wanted to learn and make something for the holidays. She loved it and found the instructions easy. It comes with all the pieces you need for the project. You can use it for a decoration, key chain, etc.

I am a very experience crocheter- I occasionally write my own patterns when I can't find what I want.I would say this kit is best for a lightly experienced beginner. The yarn is nice and soft- its acrylic but it feels nice. Everything you need other than scissors is provided which is nice. I knocked a star off immediately because the eyes provided are not safety eyes. They just pop into the finished product once everything is done which means they will fall out immediately. DO NOT give this toy to a toddler or baby. Its a shame because sewing buttons on for eyes would have been better than the eyes provided.Brand new crocheters may find the instructions slightly confusing. Particularly what to do with the head- it doesn't explain how to close it up or if you leave it open to attach to the body- a little bit of experience will make up for that gap in the pattern but that is definitely a minus and one star off. Of course the internet is a wonderful source of absolutely every technique so the detailed stitch instructions become less important even though they are provided.All in all this is a nice kit for a learning crocheter. I would be cautious with the eyes for sure.
