After contemplating the purchase of a rice cooker for some time, I finally took the plunge when my daughter requested sushi for her born day dinner. I chose the Aroma Housewares 1.5Qt. Rice & Grain Cooker, in black, and let me tell you, it has completely transformed my cooking experience! This little appliance is nothing short of amazing. After cleaning the rice, I simply add the appropriate amount of water, secure the lid, and flick the lever. That’s it! No more standing over the stove, anxiously watching the pot to prevent burning or overflowing. The cooker takes care of everything, allowing me to focus on preparing the rest of the meal. The rice comes out perfectly cooked every time – fluffy, tender, and just the right amount of moisture. The 1.5Qt capacity is perfect for our family’s needs, making it easy to prepare enough rice for sushi rolls, stir-fries, or even simple side dishes. Cleanup is a breeze too. The non-stick inner pot is easy to wash, and the compact design means it doesn’t take up much space on my countertop. Overall, I can't recommend the Aroma Rice & Grain Cooker enough. I’m very happy with this AROMA 3-cup rice cooker. It’s the perfect size for small meals and cooks rice evenly and consistently every time. It’s also very easy to use, which makes it great for everyday cooking. I actually gave it as a gift, and the person really liked it. It’s simple, reliable, and does exactly what it’s supposed to do without any issues. Overall, a great little rice cooker for the price.

This is a good, affordable, and easy-to-use rice cooker. No crazy buttons like some of the ones I have used in the past from Japan lol, just cook or warm. However, I am giving this review 4 stars because as much as I love it and as much as it has made my life easier when prepping rice, I do think the price and quality shows up here and there. First issue I have noticed: I have never been able to get the automatic sensor to work when cooking my rice. The first time I cooked rice with this thing to make a burrito bowl, I left it on for a bit thinking it would shut off by itself once the water evaporated, but it didn't. Thankfully I didn't burn my rice but it did crisp up and brown a bit on the bottom. Perhaps it's something I am doing, or maybe it's just the model or even my outlet, but as far as I am aware this is supposed to shut off automatically. I don't walk away from this thing while it's cooking so what I do now is just before the rice is done, I turn it to warm (like say a minute or two before it's fully cooked) and let it sit and steam off any remaining moisture, which works out perfectly for me. Second issue: also in my testing I discovered that adding at least a 2:1 ratio of water to rice with oil or butter results in perfect, fluffy, tender, restaurant quality rice every time. AGAIN this may be a personal issue - elevation, weather, water quality, who knows. I'm in Los Angeles so perhaps being so close to the ocean and the local hard water is doing something to my rice. But when I was doing 1:1 or 1.5:1 ratios of water to rice, my rice would be slightly underdone even when fully cooked. Like not crunchy but just a touch bit al dente. I only like al dente when making fried rice as the kernels hold up better when you're beating at them and pushing them around in a skillet, but for curries, bowls, and other applications I like my rice soft and fluffy. Even with more delicate rice like Jasmine or Basmati, I get the most amazing results with 2 cups of water vs just 1. Other than that this is perfect. It's super easy to clean; literally just run it under warm water and any left over rice slides right out. It's also small and cute and portable. For a single person or even a small family I think most people will enjoy having this in their kitchen. If you're more picky or don't mind spending a little more money on fancier options like steaming, brown rice, etc, I recommend upgrading to a Japanese rice cooker.

Aroma rice cooker is the best one. I like the quality of it. It’s the perfect size and color. Very easy to use and clean.

I love my rice cooker I had an older one it was still good but I don't know I took good care of the pot inside but some of the black stuff was coming out so I sent it to the ministry and I bought this one a new one and I try to be careful it might have been maybe I threw it in the sink and hadn't washed it yet and I don't have a dishwasher and maybe something stainless steel got hit in there I'm not sure knife I'm not sure cuz I always use the plastic spoon or wood spoon but I love my rice cooker it's such a wonderful thing I recommend this little rice cookers it's the same brand I bought from Walmart that I got here on Amazon yep I like my rice cooker but do be careful when it cuts off the cooking sometimes if it if you don't put the little extra water it might or a little oil it might get the kind of burning on the bottom cuz this things do get really hot so usually when mine clicks off or before it even clicks off since it's been boiling for over 20 minutes anyway or at least 20 minutes then I just take it off and let it sit like you normally do when you cook it on the stove but I just try to be careful not to let it sit too long after it cuts off the cooking because it will burn the bottom of your rice and it will you know make it hard to get out but other than that you know it's really nice I like my rice cooker like I said I like it and the way that you get stir fry you want to have your rice in the refrigerator overnight you can't just take a fresh cooked rice and try to do stir fry rice I learned that a long time ago but I make a different dish with it it's a great dish I do with the easy way it's not really the way that they really do it to make what I make but they did teach me to make it and it's one of my favorite things and if I say it Google won't spell it and I don't know how to spell it as a Greek name for it but anyway I recommend this and if you get one you're going to enjoy it if you like rice and you use rice you're going to enjoy this little rice cooker I guarantee it thank you

My favorite rice cooker. Got the steamer piece to go with it. The price is excellent because it does so much more than just rice which is cooks perfectly. The size is right for the two of us. It cleans up easily. I make rice and steam veggies at the same time. Does well making soup, hot cereal and other grains.

This product is a bit smaller than you'd expect... But it works very well. I can comfortably cook 3 cups of rice with ease. The rice/water ratio suggestions on the product may not be accurate depending on the type of rice you are cooking. Overall great product for the price. High Quality and not brittle.

Tras investigar sobre marcas, tamaños, opciones, nos decidimos por esta arrocera y no nos arrepentimos, ya hasta se la hemos recomendado a amigos. Somos una pareja que odia cocinar y siempre tiene prisa, y esto nos ha salvado por completo. Es facilísima de usar, rápida de limpiar, puedes hacer varios tipos de arroces (jazmín, basmati, sushi, integral, etc.), y todos quedan excelente. Le hemos agregado verduras congeladas antes de prenderlo, y quedan perfectas también, junto con el arroz. No hay pierde, siempre queda con la textura correcta porque te indica hasta dónde poner de agua, y está listo en 15 minutos!! Me falta probar si hace bien la quinoa, seguiremos reportando.

En general funcionan muy bien estas acortan los tiempos para la cocción del arroz en general me gusta bastante
