So far so good
I bought this laptop as something to use when I'm traveling or not at my desktop in my house. I haven't traveled with it yet but I will be doing so around Christmas. I take a lot of videos and do video editing as a hobby but I am a programmer for work. I haven't had any issues with this. Out of the box it was fairly simple to set up. Nothing major, some bloatware but nothing crazy. The shipping box was damaged and the laptop box was just floating around inside that, no additional packing inside. The battery life doesn't last very long unless you adjust the settings through the MSI software. But if you plan on gaming on battery, just buy a switch or steamdeck. If you want a decent gaming laptop for a decent price, I would get this one. At idle this uses about 8 gb of ram. I haven't dug into what processes are using the memory because it hasn't bothered me but if you plan on gaming, I would consider the 32gb model for $150 more. It does get hot but I haven't seen it rise above 150* but that was under stress. It has a plastic body as well, so considering that it is also heavy that may be a downside. I haven't weighed it but I can say it is rather hefty. For the price there may be some better options, but this was one of the better ones I found. MSI is a good brand that has been around for a while now. With Windows Pro, a 4060, 13th gen i7, 16 gb ram, and 1tb storage, you'd be hard pressed to find better specs for $999.

Battery Issues
I bought this laptop less than 2 months ago and the battery will not hold a charge. I have to have it plugged in for it to even turn on.

Good upgrade
This is a good upgrade for me, especially with the back lit keyboard and bump processing speed. I’m installing new mesh Wi-Fi I needed to update my system. However, I started using it to do work in my bedroom so I’ll probably get another desktop with similar specs .I caught it on a good deal right after Christmas.
