I started using the sauna as a part of my health and wellness journey. I noticed that my scalp health was suffering as a result of sauna use! I found this hat on Amazon and now wear it every time I use the sauna to protect my scalp and maintain my hair health!

Travelling to Budapest soon, they have lovely thermal baths and saunas I can't wait to use this hat for them! Its a bit scratchy but that is to be expected from handmade wool!

I ordered this hat without realizing that a sauna hat has a specific function. What attracted me to this hat is it's different with its Ukrainian design and I wanted to add it to my hat collection. Having received it, I really like this hat for the thickness of the wool felt and its simple design. It's a lot like a bucket hat. This hat is one size and is a bit big for my head (I'm a small woman) so I won't be wearing this outside on windy days. There is no way to adjust the fit of the hat. I often hike when it's really hot and humid (low 90s F) in summer so I look forward on wearing this hat on non-windy days to see if it helps with cooling my head. I have a personal sauna and will use this hat when I use the sauna although I'm not sure it's really necessary since my head sticks out of the sauna. This hat stands up to being packed in a backpack for my summer hiking. This morning when I got up, this hat had fallen from where it was hung on a coat rack and one of my cats was sleeping on it. The hat was no worse for wear and I assume the cat liked the feel and/or the novelty of it. My rating is 5 stars for an interesting, functional hat even though I cannot adjust the fit.
