RAMBO-FIRST BLOOD - MOVIE

I Like This movie . It has a very good story .And I also like ; The natural scenery. The Police uniform , and the cars . Nice shootout at the end !

The disk is very well rendered in terms of sound stage and vision improvements. Mine is shown on a 32" Toshiba and it's clearly displayed. If you have an Oled tv the contrast alone would be stunning. And indeed there are included several scenes I have not seen before in this movie. I bought this as I rented it on Firestick and after three times it's cheaper to buy the disk than streaming this again and again. My player benfitted from a firmware update before this Blu-ray. Also, I have installed a 2.1 sound system on my telly, that is very revealing in terms of sound stages and clarity, and this is enjoyably done on this disk. This initial movie is better storytelling than the second and third Rambo movies (i.m.h.o). If your in the mood of pursuing the options on this disk there are commentaries. multilingual versions and lots of topics for film anoraks to see.

What can I say about this film that hasn't already been said?Full of action, vioience, suspense, all that you'd want from a war movie, except it's not really a war movie. it's about the unseen consequences of war, how it damages those who are called on to fight, how they often find it difficult to adjust to civilian life, how they are misunderstood by society. It's an anti-war film.I'd recommend the extras on this copy to viewers, including a discussion of how many people misunderstood the message back in the 80s, which I'd not thought about before, possibly because it seemed so obvious to me at the time when it was on general theatre release. I wasn't aware of the alternate ending, which is closer to the original novel's ending. It's a great action film, but there is a message that can be missed in the excitement, a message that was lost in the sequels.

I already own the 2008 DVD, which has interactive menus on weapons etc., throughout the film, but, of course, lacks the detail of this Blu-ray version and the extras like: 'Rambo takes the 80s...', 'How to become Rambo...', rare Audio Commentary from Stallone etc., all of which make this my favourite.

Rambo und Rocky...zwei der ganz großen Filme in der Filmgeschichte....deren Nachfolgern die Entwicklung nicht so gut bekommen ist. In beiden Fällen ist der erste Teil ein ganz großes Meisterwerk, während die folgenden Teile aufs Publikum und auf die damalige Action-Welle angepasst wurden. Der Charakter, blieb jedes Mal der Gleiche, aber die Action stand viel zu sehr im Fordergrund. Trotz allem sind es großartige Filme.Rambo...im 1. Teil kämpfte er lediglich um sich zu wehren und um sich und sein Leben zu schützen. Doch auch hier ging es hauptsächlich um einen Mann, der nur das wollte, was alle wollten, die für ihr Land gekämpft hatten. Sie wollten ein wenig Respekt, nicht einmal Aufmerksamkeit und ganz normal behandelt werden, wie andere Menschen auch. Doch das Land hatte sich verändert und nun war es etwas Schlechtes, wenn man Soldat gewesen war. Rambo ist eine tödliche Waffe, der nur seine Ruhe will. Er ist ein Kind des Krieges, das von seinem Vaterland nichts anderes gelernt hatte und nun dafür bestraft wird. Was für eine Welt... Doch sie lassen Rambo nicht nur nicht in Ruhe, Nein, sie wollen ihn auch noch bestrafen, weil er ist, wie er ist und dann setzt er sich zur Wehr.Ein erschreckender Nachkriegsfilm, eine große erschreckende Studie über die Männer, die drüben ihr bestes für ihr Vaterland gegeben haben und bei ihrer Rückkehr nicht mehr willkommen waren.Ein wirklich überragender Stallone in einem außergewöhnlichen Film mit einem starken SoundtrackDieser Film ist größer...und ziert völlig zu recht das Prädikat:wertvoll".Rambo ist kein tumber Kämpfer...Rambo ist nicht einfach nur eine idiotische Kampfmaschiene....Rambo überlebt nicht einfach alles, weil er unverwundbar ist...Rambo kann nun mal kämpfen, aber nur, wenn man ihn dazu zwingt oder wenn er einem Freund helfen muss...und er überlebt, weil er gut ist in dem was er kann und weil er nie etwas anderes getan hat....und das alles, macht ihn auf eine Weise verwundbar, an die andere Menschen niemals denken würden. Auch Rambo kennt Verletzungen und Schmerzen wie jeder andere Mensch auch....aber er hat gelernt Schmerzen zu ertragen und er geht auf seine Weise damit um....Rambo leidet für eine ganze Nation und bewahrt sich dennoch seinen Stolz...Wer diesen Film nicht kennt...
