Small footprint. Amazed with th output quality to the Screen. Small improvements needed.
Very small footprint with this VGA switching box. When it arrived was expecting a bigger box. This however is very compact, about the size of a large Mobile phone. Connected up all of my cables and that was it. Just press one of the buttons on the front to switch over to the PC or Retro system you wish to display in your TV or Monitor. Even though this unit has no power, I am amazed by the picture quality from this product. Was expecting blur and ghosting without some sort of power boost. I am using shielded with ferrite choked VGA Cables so not sure if that helps. The push buttons are very retro and remind me of the old 70’s CRT TVs without remotes of the time. Like other reviews let’s see how long they last being pushed in.Only criticisms I have of the product but still receives a 5 stars for now are;- VGA out is located on the front. If the device was slightly wider then this would be better on the back with the other connectors.- No rubber feet? The unit slide around too much if sat flat in the horizontal.- Would be nice to have a stand included to sit this on the end and tall rather than flat.5 stars none the less. Now using this instead of a 2 way powered Belkin Cube due to needing 4 VGA connections.

Does the job
On the plus side this device handles 4 inputs to a single monitor, controlled via a mechanical push-button interface. My previous twin input version auto-detected the live feed, but this version is entirely manual

Very dissatisfied
Really dissatisfied with this. I'm trying to connect a pc and PS3 to a VGA monitor that only features one VGA input. Using HDMI to VGA adaptors then connecting these to this switching box, but I'm getting absolutely awful screen quality on all of the inputs of this product. I'm using new and good quality connectors and active adaptors to convert from HDMI to VGA but using this switching box creates terrible signal loss with ghosting and flickering. Not sure if product is faulty?

it'll do. just.
Using Rocky Linux 8.4/KDE and Fedora 35/GnomeGood:Solid build (from the outside at least).Bad:Occassionally does not connect to PC on switching / need to unselect and reselect again.Image is not as sharp as when monitor directly connected to PCs.PCs do not auto detect monitor resolutions when using the switch (they do if monitor connected directly) - had to use xrandr to set native res on Fedora.Switches are mechanical in part at least and suspect they will have a limited life.(Out connector would be better at the back but knew that when purchased.)Overall:Very little available (esp at reasonable prices) in VGA switches with more than 2 monitors and a tad suspicious of the reviews on other products / they all seem to have image quality issues - so I'll have to make do with this for the moment.

works as good as the more expensive 2 port product I bought from Maplin Electronics
Works as well as the two port product I purchased several years ago from the now no longer trading UK national store Maplin Electronics. That had a switch that you turned to access the individual ports while this one has push buttons which are instantaneous but are more prone to develop faults but I've not had this equipment long enough to find out if that is going to be the case or not and it's worth me mentioning here that while push button selectors are more prone to go wrong that switching ones, many do not. My only criticism is that I would have preferred the input connection to have been situated at the back of the unit or at the sides rather that at the front, which makes for an unsightly connection but that isn't even worth removing any star for.

Niche but great...
A bit of a niche product, but if you need to switch between VGA inputs, this is good quality, robust and cheap. What more could you want?

Perfetto per PC <> Amiga - Monitor CRT
Dimensioni ragionevoli e tasti meccanici precisi e funzionali.
