A friend has the name brand version of this tool and I thought I would give it a chance since she likes hers so much. It comes in a nicely packaged box and looks pretty. Functionally I really had to read the instructions to even figure out how to turn it on. It is not really intuitive in any manner. Once I figure out how to turn it on and use it I didn't have any major issues. It performed as described other than beeping incessantly. It beeps when you plug it in. Every button beeps except the spin one. I found my hand constantly hitting the up and down temperature buttons while trying to hold it up to spin, so it beeped again. Then I had to turn it back up or back down to my desired temp. I also found you really have to work at using it. The small section you clamp your hair into is short, so you really have to concentrate on getting it in just right. You also have to really think about what direction you are spinning or you leave a major clamp mark in your hair. My hair is layered slightly so it also skipped some shorter pieces because they wouldn't get caught up in the spin. It just doesn't seem to have as much flexibility as my regular curling iron which I don't have problems using. So I guess it seems more of a gimmick than a game changer. It did make really pretty nice loose curls though, so I can't complain at all about the results. I am just not convinced the results are worth the hassle. I know I would get more familiar with it in time, but not sure it is worth the learning curve. If you have issues with a regular curling iron I would definitely say give it a try. Otherwise this is probably not going to replace your daily hair tools but might be nice for the days you have more time.

What I like about this hair styling tool is that it works fast. It heats up quickly and takes the guess work out of getting that proper wrap for beautiful curls. It is very convenient to have multiple sizes included to change the overall look of my curls. I can have large, loose waves or small tight curls and it takes a matter of seconds to change out the wand. The one thing I will caution buyers about is the speed of which the hair is curled. I know, sounds like it really isn’t a problem but what I mean is, if you don’t pay attention and press the automatic button that turns the hair onto the wand, it can pull it right up to your head and burn you.The wand can be changed so the direction of the spin is different, adding even more texture and depth to your curls. The tool itself is not overly heavy and should cause an arm cramp if you spend some time using it.

The “u” button is for converting Fahrenheit to Celsius. The temperature range is from 320F to 430 F. I am writing the review as I am trying all of the features so I don’t forget later. All of the above are the easy part. I have long hair so I tried the 1.25” head. The actual curling technique is a little confusing at first and it definitely takes some practice to get better at it. The auto-rotate function is pretty smooth. I just need a few tries to figure out which direction my hair needs to go on the curling iron. There is a vertical button for me to switch either to the left or to the right. That’s the direction how the hair would be curled. One thing to watch for is that when you press the curling(turning) button, make sure to turn it slowly so you won’t get burned. The curling iron has a 60 minute auto off feature which is good in case you forget to turn it off. There is also a glove to prevent hands getting burned. For people who travel, the curling iron is dual voltage which is pretty convenient. This is overall a good product. I hope my review help you understand it a little better.

Long barrels and 3 different sizes to interchange. The clip is small on the bottom to hold your hair. It automatically rotates but takes alot of practice. It gets hot very quickly and I was a little nervous using this on my own hair as I felt my hair would get stuck in the clamp and fry. Easier to use on other people. Its really nice for long hair given the barrel sizes.
