So far it's great
The media could not be loaded. First thoughts are that it was pretty easy to install, the instructions are a bit confusing but just use common sense and just know everything pulls out. I wouldn't say it's super cheaply made but is mostly plastic, not something you want to drop or sit on the pieces as I bet they would break. I do however think it's engineered pretty well I like how you can pull off the pieces and clean them one by one. The way it disposes is pretty cool and I really like the idea that it will pause if the cat walks in. It's relatively quiet, I can't see it bothering me at all or really noticing it after awhile once I put it in the other room. My cat has a lot of space to move around in it too and she seems to like it immediately. Im satisfied with it as I was nervous about getting into buying an auto litter box since I've heard such bad reviews on them but I'm glad I pulled the trigger on it.

Do not buy!
I really wanted to like this thing. for $300, it should work really well, I hoped!Problem is, I HATE it. It's about 8X as much work to keep up as a plain $10 litter box. There is NO time savings, and it wastes cat litter like it was a collusion with Fresh Step.I have two cats. Not 4 or 9 or 37. Just two ordinary indoor felines. I have to spend 30 minutes, twice a day, to keep this machine functional. Forget leaving town for a night, let alone any longer. The machine will be an overflowed mess in one day.The care process is as follows:Open the front drawer of the machine, which is woefully undersized. It will be overflowing, guaranteed, so cat litter, clumps and poop will drop into the drawer tray beneath it.Grab the plastic bag and dispose of the full bag. The front of the drawer has a catch tray for the loose litter it accidentally grabs. It too, will be overflowing and spill everywhere. Dump it back into the main litter box.Use the included scraper to manually scrape the bottom of the box. This is made more challenging by the (fairly useless) metal tines that are supposed to dredge the litter. Re-line the litter drawer with a new bag and re-insert the drawer. Manually turn the machine off, and back on again. Wait for it to do another scraping run, which will get the big chunks but no small ones. Much will stick to the tines. Scrape the top of the loose litter holes as they get clogged constantly. Scrape the tines of the scraper with the hand scooper to get the stuck lumps off.Repeat the above process, entirely. The new bag will already be half full, and the loose litter tray will be almost full. You have to shake the entire machine with the front angled up so the clean litter isn't just swept into the bag.Now you have to remove the white tine holder, and scrape behind it. Have fun trying to reinstall the tines, it takes me 6 or 7 tries every time.You. might need to run the machine a third time, depending on much crud was hiding behind the tines.By now, your box is almost completely out of litter, even though you filled it this morning. Refill it again, up to the max line. You're going to want to double or triple your Amazon litter subscription frequency or amounts. I used to go through 20-30s per month. Now I go through 20# per week. It wastes SO much litter, the litter bag is always half full of loose clean litter. This machine has some nice ideas, and it does reduce the smell considerably. It's not really noisy, but you would not want it in your bedroom at all. There's a 2 minute pronounced WHIRRING noise as it runs back and forth, twice per cat visit automatically. It would get annoying fast.TLDR: Good idea, terrible execution. Buy anything but this.

Pretty good automatic litter box for my 1 cat.
The media could not be loaded. I've had this set up and in use for about 3 weeks now(only have 1 cat. She's about 10-12 pounds.) And really like it so far.I imagine if you have more than 1 cat using this, you'll have to empty the poo bin every 3 or 4 days though. Every 7 days I HAVE to empty the bin( which isn't an issue bc it's easy for me to remember that every Saturday/Sunday I have to clean everything out) even only having the 1 cat... if I left the bin any longer than 1 week it would overfill. So think about this is you plan on using this with multiple cats.My hubby and I are pleasantly surprised with how this thing keeps all the smells Inside. My cat has a RAUNCHY butt, but not once have we ever smelt anything coming from this box. It's absolutely amazing.A few other features we love is the notches in the poo bin(where the bags are placed) there's 1 notch in every corner, and as long as u pay attention when putting that bag in, nothing will come out of the bag. Tip: when u go to place the bag, open the bag all the way, then flip the ends of the bag down(I do it below the drawstring + all the way around) then place the bag in the notchs. Start at one corner and work your way around. Make sure you really push the bag down into the notches. Once uve got the bag attached securely, open up the white door in the front of the litter box, and gently push the poo drawer back in. Check that the bag is still securely in place before placing the white lid back down. I've found doing it this way ensures the bag is where it should be, and won't let any poo get into the actual plastic box- it'll go straight into the bag for easy cleanup.I also love the hood that comes with this box. It took me a few minutes to figure out how the bars go, and how it attaches to the litter box, but once I figured it out it's actually quite simple. Lol. More of a visual person. There are instructions, but I struggled understanding how to get the hood on for a few minutes. The included 2 black clips are what hold the topper on. You open the white side clips(on both sides of litter box) and push the black clips down Into the little grooves on the side of the bin... Then push the white handles back down to secure the clips in place. My cat throws and kicks litter around like a maniac, but with the lid and the litter mat they give you, I have no litter anywhere around my house. It really does keep the litter enclosed.I also really like how u can use different litters with this bin. We use a crushed walnut litter, and it works perfectly. The fill line for this litter box is also more than any other automatic litter bin I've personally had. I'd say it's a good 3-4 inches deep. The fact that it comes with 3 rolls of poo bags is huge, and helps out SO much. The last automatic bin we had(not from this company) used plastic trays u had to set into a bin. After using them for a year, I went to buy more bc we ran out, and that's when I found out the company discontinued making the trays, and I couldn't find them anywhere. ๐ happy to know this litter box takes bags. It's SO much easier, and cheaper too!I also love that this box comes with a litter mat as well as a bag of litter, and a pooper scooper. Legit everything u need to set it up and get it working asap.Beneath the compartment that stores the waste, theres a 2nd little compartment(the bags are stored there when u 1st receive this product) it's not storage though. It is actually a compartment to hold onto clean litter that the rake brings up. Every week when u change the waste bag you just pour the clean litter back into the bin. You'd be surprised how much litter it catches/saves.One of the cons I've had(and just recently realized) is towards the very back of the bin clumps of pee get stuck. When I say clumps I mean BIG clumps. There's a dip that goes down right after the rake/plastic forks that scoops up the messes. The rake doesn't reach that spot, and I didn't notice it until the last cleaning, where I pulled one large clump(broken into smaller pieces) about 3 inches wide by 6-9 inches long. Now that I know there's a spot the rake doesn't reach, I will manually clean it out weekly during the clean outs. That really is my only con so far. That I'd also the reason my review is 4 stars instead of 5....Overall, we love this litter box and haven't had any issues. As long as it continues performing how it has been, we will recommend to anyone that will listen. Just keep in mind, if u have multiple cats you will need to empty waste bin every 3 days I'd imagine. The poo bin pic I included is 1 day after I cleaned and set up new bag in waste bin. Just something to keep In mind.

Not really suitable for multiple cats
I liked the ease of setting it up but the littler box has broken after 2 months of using it. My cats love the clean litter everytime. I bought a Popur and it's huge so I thought this one would work in the smaller area but it's not combing through after a cat uses it. I wish it work again but I haven't figured out how to get it to work again. So far unplugging it and turning off and on hasn't worked. I cleaned it and still not working. I wish I could get ahold of the company and figure this out or get a refund but I know it's been 2 months since I bought it. So it's not feasible. I had to take the hood off for my fat cats.
