I put this near a large tree that was the home of many squirrels who were getting into everything. It didnt even annoy then to the slightest. They were rolling around and playing right next to it. It may annoy them but it surely didnt seem to and it surely did not deter them.

Recently, neighborhood cats have been pooping in our back yard. Every morning for 2 weeks straight, we would find a fresh pile. We tried various spray repellents, as well as home remedies. None of them worked. We read ALL reviews for this product and we were still skeptical. I followed the instructions and charged the device via the USB cord. I placed the device in the spot we've had the most occurrences of droppings. I opted to use the silent ultrasonic setting (#3) for it's initial use. I could hear a faint clicking at various times throughout the night. This is an indication that motion has been detected and the device is emitting sound and flashing the blue/white light. I must admit, I was anxious to see if indeed we had cat poop in the back yard the following morning. I am thrilled to report there were no droppings in the back yard. It has been 3 days since we installed this device and we have not had any cats to poop in our back yard. We will purchase another one for the front yard as well.

This thing is great for annoying people but the squirrels could not care less about the sounds. I have this at the front bumper of my car and have seen squirrels still playing under my car. They already chewed up my wires costing $1100 so I’ll be looking for an alternative method since this is useless. It was worth a shot.

Having a deer problem I thought to give this a try. Purchased 2 units and both had the same problem. When fully charged by USB and then placed in the sun, both units where electrically dead by the next morning. The reason was obvious. Both units would constantly trigger false alarms during the daytime. At night the sensor seemed to work but, only reliably when I came within about 10 feet. The 360 directional sensing did work.By the time I returned the units, 10 days later, both units had malfunctioned, no longer correctly admitting the high pitch sound I set to scare the deer. The idea was good but not practical, even if they hadn’t malfunctioned.Also, be aware, the Amazon feedback rating of 4.7 is bogus. Only the most resent customer reviews are for this product. The vast majority are for other products. Obviously a glitch or a loophole in how suppliers get ratings. And, of those that are for this product and submitted pictures, they’re different. Suspicious don’t ya think?

If you like the sounds of the alarm and maybe ticking off your neighbors, then get this. It is NOT ultrasonic! We had a dog alarm and it was advertised as ultrasonic and it was.........quiet. This alarm is not. Even though the advertisement states plainly that it not audible to humans. What a crock. Plus, when you get the alarm, it is obviously from china and the translation on the instructions is terrible. We are returning it ASAP.

i was a bit skeptical about getting this to repel cats.i was really surprised that is actually works. i have had cats pooping in my yard for quite a while and after a week of using this, no cat poop!i would have given this five stars, except that when you use the usb to charge the unit, there is no indicator that the unit is charging or when it is fully charged. also the instructions do no specify what setting is used for which animals.have to update my review. although it eliminated my animal problem, the solar panel would not recharge the battery, so i returned it. i did not want to have to bring it into my house and recharge the battery every few days

I now have several of these animal repellents.Pros 1) Very easy to set up. Slide the stake (pie) to gether and insertit into the bottom of the device, 2) Recharges itself on bright sunny days. 3) Has multiple settings.Con:If it is not a very bright sunny day, it will not recharge itself. You will need to charge it, for it to work.Other than the one con, it does the job.

So far this works to keep the deer away from my plants. I see with my outdoor camera that it does scare them away so it is working well, hoping that it will scare my geese away from my pond.
