What sets the MMA grossed messer from the normal one?

Its blued. I like to buy the cheaper MAA versions, then remove the bluing with vinegar and then polish it myself with Brasso. It saves money and feels good to do. Its remarbably easy to do as well. Makes you wonder how the bluing process is cheaper than somebody spending 10 minutes on the metal bits with a polishing rag or wheel, but for the price, im certainly not complaining.

Can you wield this sword with one hand?

I mean it's possible but it won't be as nimble as a lighter longsword.

Rumors of loose guards.. Any truth?

The scales on the handle are loose. The guard is welded

How is the pommel screw tightened? Im guessing its a specialized tool.

Not as specialized as you would think, I was able to fabricate one out of A large flat head screwdriver bit with a rotary tool, but I'm sure if you looked around enough you would find the proper bit for it maybe through craftsman , snap on ,husky etc.
