Snails love them&feels&smells more natural than past algae round buys
I would definitely buy again.. I feel like there's definitely less fillers or feels and smells more natural.. the snails love them but they are had to break so I break them up before I feed so they don't hog them lol it says. Also it says natural ingredients on there. Again I'm sure it's not all but can definitely tell it's more than others I've tried. Worth it to me

Good But Fragile Tropical Flake
This fish food is usually available for a reasonable price on Amazon and most of my fish seem to like the flavor. The flakes are very soft making them easy for all sizes of fish to digest. But that softness can also cause them to grind into powder. I use a metal strainer to remove as much powder as possible each time I feed my fish as most powder will go uneaten.

You canโt go wrong.
Great flakes. I have been using this as my main food and my fish seem to live forever. I add algae wafers for my bottom feeders. This is a good diet for freshwater fish

Excellent Choice For Automatic Feeders
These flakes feed more consistently from my Neptune automatic feeder than any others I have tried. The flakes are half (or less) the size of other marine flakes such as the well regarded TetraMin Tropical Flakes, which I previously used. The Aqueon Tropical Flakes feed through the aperture in my automatic feeder in the same consistant amount almost every time without clogging or spilling. The TetraMin flakes did not. I received a free sample of the Aqueon flakes with another Amazon fish food order about 2 months ago, tried them, and I have been using the flakes since then. I have a 100 gallon high tech low nutrition saltwater reef system. I feed the Aqueon flakes in small amounts to my saltwater fish (2 Clowns, 4 Anthias, 1 Yellow Tang, 2 Banngai Cardinalfish, 1 Royal Gamma, 1 Blue/ Green Chromis and 1 Firefish) 3 times per day by automatic feeder. I also feed pellets in small amounts ( Hikari Marine S) three times per day by automatic feeder, and frozen food by hand once per day. The ingredient analysis on the Aqueon container shows that the flakes are slightly less nutritious than some others, e.g., TetraMin. For instance, the Aqueon flakes claim a "guaranteed" minimum "crude protein" analysis of 41% while TetraMin claims 47%. So one would have to feed slightly more Aqueon flakes (6% more) to reach the same level of protein nutrition as TetraMin. I don't know what practical effect that difference has on either fish health or water quality, but it must have some. Time will tell if the difference is material. So far I have not noticed or detected any measurable effect, and I test my water every week. In my case, my tank and all my fish are less than one year old and not fully mature. My fish still prefer smaller foods. None of them have demonstrated any resistance to the smaller flakes, even the Banggai Cardinalfish, which are notoriously fussy. In any event, to me the convenience of using the flakes right out of the container with my automatic feeders (without having to crush them) outweighs the nutrition difference. I could never crush larger flakes into consistent smaller sizes that would consistently flow through my automatic feeder. The Aqueon Tropical flakes are all consistently small sized so they consistently feed from my Neptune automatic feeder without either clogging or over-feeding.

Aqueon Tropical Flakes - A Middle-of-the-Road Choice
Pros: 1. The quality of the flakes is decent, and most of my tropical fish seem to like them. 2. They donโt cloud the water, helping to maintain water clarity. 3. The container is well-designed, preventing spills and keeping the flakes fresh. Cons: 1. Some of the flakes are a bit large for smaller fish, also it stales after a couple times of use. making it challenging for them to eat. 2. While the flakes serve as a sufficient food source, I didnโt notice a significant improvement in my fishโs overall health or vibrancy. 3. The price is somewhat higher compared to other alternatives in the market. In summary, Aqueon Tropical Flakes provide a middle-of-the-road option for feeding your tropical fish. They do the job but donโt excel. If youโre looking for an affordable and practical choice, they might be worth considering, although keep in mind the size concern for smaller fish.

Good for small fishes
The flakes are good for my neons, they can easily slip them into small pieces. I bought pellets first but they are too big for my neons.
