If you're a stan of ANYTHING to an obsessive level, Read this!
This manga is a hilarious look at fandom culture as a whole. Whether you're a stan of a Kpop group or anything to a level of Hyperfixation. And despite how that sounds, it does not do it in a way that is meanspirited or insulting to people like that. In a way, it can be used as a guide to help those who don't get it, understand in a way that makes sense and is genuinely informative. I thought that because I'm not into any Kpop groups that I wouldn't relate to the characters in this manga, especially the main character Ken Kanashiro. But as I kept reading, I grew to sympathize with him, and even feel worried when I thought something bad was gonna happen and rejoiced when he got to do something involving his love for his bias.I thought going in that this was gonna be a yaoi, and while it does have some elements of a man falling in love with a pretty boy idol, it's not displayed in a way that is romantic but just geniune fanboy adoration. Ken is truly adorable with how much he stans Jun, and gets others in the Yakuza to join along with him with their own Biases. If you know someone who's super into anything, I highly recommend this manga, as it's not only a way to laugh at the similarities and explainations of what it like to love something to that extreme, but also a way to help you understand that person a little better when it comes to that level of love.P.S. There were parts where I felt seriously called out! 🤣 I ain't mad tho, it's right!
