I really love this. I use it as a jam jar and put charred pineapple jam in it to go out with cheese and crackers on holidays with family and friends. Its really cute and it gets lots of compliments. My only concern is the glass feels very thin and fragile, so I am really careful with it, and hand wash the glass just to make sure it doesn't break in the washing machine. I have concerns about the longevity about the glass piece, but the adorable duck finial and the shine of the silver is quite elegant and looks great with our wood charcuterie board.

I received my jam dish today! I'm excited and eager to use it. It was packaged okay from the manufacturer, but Amazon double-packed it in a larger box with plenty of air-pillows to protect it. It arrived safely! The clear glass bowl is smooth and sturdy. I banged it once on accident while washing it. It survived. Of course, glass breaks! But it doesn't appear to be ultra thin and fragile. The lid is a lovely high polish stainless steel, with a little notch in one side so the spoon can remain in the dish. I plan to keep jam inside, and set it on our breakfast table for mornings when we have toast instead of cereal. I take care of my seven grandchildren and I love to set a nice table for them. I use nice dishes and real silverware and tablecloths because I want to teach them good manners. They especially like it when I light candles, too! Anyway, back to my Rigeli Regent Stainless Steel Jam Dish, I simply love it. It is useful, yet pretty. I love the quality, and I plan to order more from this company that produces an entire line of elegant service ware. My only question is, why is there a duck on the lid? Ducks don't eat jam or lay berries! I would have suggested a bear on the top. Bear love berries, or honey - if you decided to keep honey in your jam bowl instead. But the duck is adorable. She reminds me of the mother duck in Robert McCloskey's charming book "Make Way for Ducklings." I'm sure she will be a welcome addition to our breakfast table. Get your Jam Jar today - and it is nice enough to give as a gift. Something unique and useful!

I saw this and thought that is darling. And in real life, it's darling!The glass portion is well made - I put it in the dishwasher, had not problems. I put the spoon in the dishwasher too, no problem. The lid I hand washed. The lid fits fine but can be slightly finicky to get on. The spoon is a little thin, but if you have any antique spoons or even travel spoons they might be a better fit. Just have to get the right size.This is really cute and can be used for all kinds of things. Jam, honey, sugar, sugar cubes, mustards, relish, etc. It really dresses up a table. The price is reasonable as well. You can spend more and possibly get a better spoon, but you might also end up with the exact same jam pot that you paid more for!The duck, while not having a lot to do with jam (they do eat berries though,) is really cute.

My wife wanted a "cute" sugar dish to keep on the kitchen table, and this one caught our eye. It looks exactly as pictured and was easy to clean and use; however, we noticed that sometimes the lid just tips off to the side and falls onto the table. We aren't sure if it is a defect on the rim of the dish or lid or if the lid is simply too heavy but it can get kind of annoying to have it sit just right. Other than that issue it does look quite nice, just isn't too reliable on staying closed.

Used this for the first time and actually just placed mixed nuts within it as we were having a very small guest count and prepared a charcuterie board for them. This worked perfect for that. It will also work well for its original intent of jams/honey/jelly if needed. Super easy to clean. Also great as a gift for someone if you are in need of something for another individual who hosts frequently.
