How do I hear again the thunder and see the lightning flashes that happen when the castle is first plugged in? Remote won't do thunder, only music.

Is there a top piece of the castle not attached? Mine comes off and I'm not sure if it is broken or supppsed to be like this

Is the tree topper come with a mount to attach to the tree? Mine came with a rod but nothing to attach it to the castle
