game-changer in my daily routine
This little Breathing Pal is a game-changer in my daily routine, and I can't recommend it enough. This cute, squishy bear has become a permanent fixture on my desk, and it's been a real help in keeping me on track at work. This little bear has three breathing modes, each designed for recommended uses. For me, the 4-4-4-4 mode is the winner, supercharging my concentration during tasks. What amazes me the most is how the color and brightness perfectly sync with my breathing, making the exercise incredibly smooth. It's like having a personal mindfulness coach right there when I need it. The bear's soft, squeezable silicone material is a joy to hold, and you can give it a good squeeze without worrying about wear and tear. Plus, that adorable bear face adds a touch of warmth to any space. You'll love how easy it is to use, thanks to the clear instructions on the bottom. And here's the bonus: it's not just for grown-ups. My 6-year-old son is also a fan. It helps him unwind before bedtime, making it a fantastic tool for introducing mindfulness to kids. In fact, I might just grab a hippo version to avoid any sharing tiffs.

A cute companion to guide you on conscious breathing and wellness
The media could not be loaded. This is a review of “ Breathing Pal 'Benny' - Visual Breathing Guide for Mindfulness - Squishy, 3 Breathing Modes with Night Light, Science-Based for Anxiety Relief/ADHD/Meditation/Sleep Aid for Adult&Kid, Gift Idea[As a as vine reviewer, I am pledging not to be compensated or influenced by the vendor; I state my opinions based on my personal experience without any bias or pressure]Whether you are eastern or western, even doctors believe that meditation coupled with breathing exercises can do wonders to your wellness. There are obviously techniques and guided meditations that will all work, provided there is some way to remove the boredom from the disciplined breathing needed. This particular product is cute-looking soft globe with colorful lights that almost looks like a toy but its value is in the ability to guide you through the inhale-hold-exhale cycle in a repeatable manner. This product supports three modes of breathing and the fourth serves as a night light. With the rechargeable battery and lights inside, you can actually use it as a night lamp and begin your morning with a methodical breathing session. The globe itself is of the size of an American grapefruit and the charging is through a USB-C interface (a charger wire is supplied). The unit also operates while charging, so this is a great feature. For a full charge (until the green light appeared ) took me one hour. The battery life is claimed to be 20 hours but I think that is a bit high figure if used constantly. The breathing exercises are of course a bit basic but it does work well with the color-based visual cues on when to inhale, hold or exhale, based on the mode of the exercise by pressing the button at the bottom of the unit (it does not matter whether you are connected to the mains or running on the rechargeable battery).A sat in n two five mins session for the mode 2 (4-4-4-4 for inhale - hold - exhale-hold) also called box breathing . This gave me a slightly better calmness than doing the same breathing with a timer , etc. THe timer would normally distract me. Here is this tool was very calming and comforting as a patient companion who does not talk but only changes the colors (no sound exists). If you are into meditation, this breathing tool will be a must-have since it can guide you to breath normally and in a steady manner.I say start with three minutes and then extend it all the way to a 30 min session.I definitely see that this product is thoughtfully designed and if it lasts for a while, you can learn meditation and breathing easily with this tool. For the cuteness, price and performance, I can happily grant this five stars.

Not so sure that the timing is correct
I feel like the 4 second box breathing timing is faster than 4 seconds, like 3.5. I don't find it intuitive to use, but I do find the 5 second version to be effective. I like the two settings of brightness. Battery is good, though I do end up leaving it plugged in to my computer. I turn it on at various points in the day as a reminder to do some box breathing from time to time. I also like that goofy face looking at me, though at first I thought it was cheesy.

Mindfulness Is Great If You Can Focus
After using this Squishy Mindfulness Visual Breathing Guide for over a week, I have to be honest, and admit that it did not prove beneficial for me. I tried all three breathing modes, all at different times of the day without success. The breathing pal took about two hours to fully charge. The light will turn from red to green to indicate a full charge. It's worth mentioning that I have an issue that makes it tremendously difficult for me to sit still for even short periods of time, and I have always struggled with being able to focus. I thought the night light was great though. Also, I had to squeeze the material to get it to become a full circle again the first time I used it.

Good aid tool for breathing exercises
Quality is great for its light construction. The top is mostly made of a flexible rubber plastic or silicon. It has characteristic of a balloon, but thicker and you can squish it down to some extent. Material is static and dust will get on it. The base is plastic and has a single button for ON/OFF and different breathing exercises. It charges under 2 hours via USB C cable and has an indicator at the bottom. The light is dim or bright as you tap on it for it to change between the 2 levels. Both light levels seem good enough to help you out to walk in a small hallway or closet. It turns OFF after 2 hours of continuous use, whether it is use as a night light or forgotten to turn OFF when doing the breathing exercises. You have to have your mind set for doing the exercises, otherwise you can get inpatient with its use haha. The one thing I found a bit problematic was the brightness levels, I have to tap many times, hard tap or lift it and tap it to the flat surface for the brightness level to change. I found it easier to place it in an uneven surface so that a tap registers better. It seems like sensor is at the bottom on the plastic base.

Cute little light buddy
I like the overall concept and execution of the product. It's a cute little light that helps you visualize breathing techniques. The actual light itself is soft and squishy and fun to tap. I think the only thing that could make this project better would be more customization such different light colors or more breathing patterns, otherwise a solid product.
