different from typical jjajangmyeon, very rich
i've tried various buldak flavors. 2x is way too spicy, cream carbonara and carbonara are good in terms of spice tolerance (more comparable to shin ramyuns spice levels), quattro and cheese buldaks (while good, not a fan truthfully of the taste). jjajang buldak is by far my favorite buldak flavor by leaps and bounds. it is genuinely delicious. a bit spicier than carbonara but not as spicy as the original or as quattro imo. it tastes delicious, very different from chapaghetti jjajangmyeon with a lot more flavor. i've tried other jjajangmyeon brands since this one is discontinued, but this is the only one i love and enjoy. i usually top it with two fried eggs, but it also tastes delicious with any of your favorite proteins (salmon, fish cakes, clam meat, shrimp, chicken), sesame, garlic, green onions. if you want it to be less spicy, you can substitute the water for milk when preparing it, and add half to 75% of the liquid packet. egg yolks from the fried eggs also help cool down the heat, just dip a portion of the noddles into the yolk as you eat and it will taste richer and less spicy.

Spicy but Delicious
If you don't like spicy food, these won't be for you unfortunately. I saw them in a YouTube video and decided to order them. The taste is absolutely delicious, though, and if you tinker with how much sauce you put in, you can adjust the heat levels a bit. They were extremely easy to prepare, and are a really good quality for how much they cost. I just wish there were more than 5 packets in a bag :')

Best Buldak Flavor!
This is my favorite flavor of the Buldak brand. I think it's less spicy than the original flavor. The spice level is tolerable for me and the black bean flavor comes through. (With that being said, these are very spicy and I don't recommend them to anyone who can't take the heat. However, if the original is too spicy for you, these are a little less spicy). The noodles have a great texture as well. They are thick and chewy (in a good way).Absolutely delicious!

Less noodles
Delicious as usual, but I noticed the packages now come with half as many noodles. Unless I got one in a million...we'll see next time

yummy
i loved these noodles super yummy. if you have low spice tolerance i donโt think these would be up your alley but for me personally they were perfect heat level pasta quality was amazing and the flavor of the sauce was delicious. super easy to make and the thickness was perfect. definitely a bang for your buck.

The first bite is the hottest
HOT STUFF! Delicious! heat starts to mellow after a few bites. I love the noodles, nice and plump with good consistency.

HOT!!
This spicy black bean sauce is addicting. It's delicious, but it is extremely HOT! I'm a wimp now. I can only use half of the sauce packet. Otherwise, my eyes tear up, my nose runs, and my mouth is on FIRE for an hour and a half afterward.

Lacking in flavor.....
The black bean Budak specifically didn't impress me. It's spicy for sure, just like the other flavors, but the lack of flavor left something to be desired. I prepared it like any other Jjajangmen with onions, carrots, cabbage etc....but all I could gather from it was the spice. Other buldak flavors, such as carbonara and even the classic chicken flavor is much better, in my opinion. Everything else about it is great, but the flavor just isn't there. It's bland besides the heat.
