Set up easy
So far this charger is working great to keep the deer and elk out of my garden area that I have raspberry bushes, small fruit trees and few tomato plants. They chewed one of my raspberries almost to the ground and broke branches on several of my apple trees. Now my plants are protected and will be able to grow without any more damage. Seems to charge even on cloudy days, so very happy so far with purchase. Son said was easy installation.

Reliable Solar Fence Charger – Easy Setup and 24/7 Protection!
I recently purchased the 10 Miles Solar Electric Fence Charger, and it has exceeded my expectations! Setting it up was straightforward, and the portable design makes it easy to move between fences if needed. I love that it has a day/night mode and a rechargeable solar panel, which keeps my fences powered 24/7 without any hassle. I feel confident knowing my livestock is protected without constantly checking or replacing batteries. Overall, it’s efficient, easy to use, and great value. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a low-maintenance, solar-powered fence charger.

Decent performance so far
Good unit. Easy to set up. Plenty of power for horses. Have it in place for a week and solid performance with no issues. Will see how it holds up as time goes on.

It's finicky to get working but it will once it does. LED light needs to be in front, not back.
I had to mess with it quite a bit. I used a 4 ft ground rod and I fiddled with everything multiple times after being fully charged and suddenly it just worked. I also discovered that you can't use a multimeter to test because it destroyed it. An 8 month old, hyper and destructive pit bull was the first to test it out, he immediately ran to the house wanting inside and hopefully learned the first time to stay off the fence. The LED light is on the back, so if you mount it to a wood fence, you'll not only never see it but it's really hard to flip the toggle switch. It would be really NICE if they put the switch and LED light on front above the solar panel or something. Also the LED light flashes as if it's sending a pulse even when there is no actual output on the terminal. I guess you need a Joule meter to test it, I figured a MM or Non Contact Voltage Tester would work but it doesn't do anything for the latter and the former it destroyed it first pulse. So be wary of that.

Great devices but need a bird deterrent
I bought two of these devices. They are really good and work like they should. I use them for deer control on flower beds and the garden. I set them up in the spring and take them in after the frosts have killed off all the vegetation. One is 4 years old and the other is 3. One thing the devices really NEED is a bird deterrent, otherwise they will soon be covered on bird droppings. I made mine out of some roof flashing and 2 inch drywall screws. Sorry birdies find some other place to perch. Sometimes it is difficult to get the battery back in correctly. Otherwise a great product.

Not worth it.
Worked great for the first month and after a month of using it, it completely stopped working. It was placed in a spot where it would get full sun and after several days of sitting in the sun, it still would not work.

So far, it’s worth it
It’s easy to set up and IT WORKS. Im only using it for a 20 x 30 area but I have a big naughty Friesian filly that loves pushing her temporary stall around and I was at my wits end. I read the reviews and with them being mixed, I wasn’t sure but still ended up going for it. It came with the wires needed and battery. I opened it up, connected it to the battery and left it out in the Arizona sun for 3 days to charge. Bought the polyrope, plastic clamps and 6ft copper rod at my local tractor supply. I had t posts at home. For a basic set up, that’s literally all you need. Hammered the rod about 3 1/2 ft into the ground (mind you this is Az, it’s dry ground not moist as they recommend) set everything up and turned it on. It took her about a dozen shocks at different areas of the fence but she eventually learned 😅 My poor corso was also a victim but now she doesn’t eat the horse poop! It’s been a week, it’s held up charge. I can tell because she’ll test it occasionally 😂 it’s bulky in size but not as bad as the ones at TCS. So far it seems durable but time will tell. I think it’s priced fairly; I’ll update if anything but so far so good. I included how I set it up, I didn’t mount the unit as this is a temporary area but that doesn’t affect its performance.
