This worked out just great for a novice like myself. I found it easy to use and it got the job done

Cutters great, strippers trash
They work great as cutters. Like. Pair of lineman pliers, the cutter sticks out further than the teeth close which is fine and totally normal but because of that, the strippers don’t even get close to being able to strip the wire. You might think to just go to a smaller hole on the stripper but even then it does not leave enough of an incision on the insulation to be able to pull the insulation off and you could run the risk of crushing the wire. It was actually easier and less time consuming to pull out a pocketknife and strip it my self the old fashion way.

Damaged carrying case
Pliers seems to be constructed to of strong materials but the case is flimsy and cheap
