This console is about the best thing you could get as a young lad. You can play on the TV, at home, in the car, on the airplane, or anywhere. It is simply amazing the versatility that this console gives you. It's literally a Nintendo DS and Wii in one. It is extremely easy and fun to play with friends, for you can use two joy-con controllers or use one and give your friend the other. The games on it are just the best games Nintendo has ever made. Super Mario Odyssey gives you the adventure of a lifetime in 3d. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is probably my favorite game on the switch, the amount of kart combos and characters you can use, huge amount of tracks that add up to 96 tracks, make a ton of fun for you and your friends. I love the competitiveness you can getInto online and I the community. (especially with the new DLC that adds a whole game's worth of new tracks!!!) Super Mario Wonder is one of the latest releases for the switch and it is freaking awesome, 100% the best 2d Mario of all time, the levels are so creative and fun. The badge mechanic gives a whole other level of fun to the game. One last great game for the switch is Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The sheer amount of fighters and stages is crazy. The competitiveness is also crazy, the community is great. The only cons I have for it is that the joy cons can be kind of uncomfortable to play with for a long time due to their small size and the amount of game cartridges that I lost over the years (even though it's my fault). Overall the switch is the best console Nintendo has ever made, I have had mine for about 6 years now and I have always loved it. I am very happy that my little brother now has his own and I don't have to share anymore. Even though the switch is an almost perfect console, it is time for Nintendo to release a brand new console rather than just a new Switch variant. 7 years is plenty of time for a new console.

I got this to dissuade my 7 year old from playing only Roblox. They have taken a liking to the games on this system but with only one or two games they get board quickly. There is a the option to subscribe to a classic games download with a huge variety but there is a annual subscription fee that is about the cost of one game, but only for one year. I am going to try it to see if the variety helps keep them on the switch and away from Roblox. I love the system and we have already went to a family party and had so much fun! We did purchase a couple extra controllers, and a carry case for safety. It was nice after we unhooked it from the TV the kids asked to play it again so we just took the controllers off the sides and gave one to each and they just played with the little screen. It wasn't ideal but for the littles it was still fun! One thing that can be very confusing is the controllers after you hook up to the TV, so after some painstakingly fumbling around I came up with the tip below.Tip: If you don't put the controllers in the single case you that comes with the system because you plan to use them in a game like Mario cart or party, you can look at the lower left corner of the screen and it will show both controllers and the position you should hold them in front of you to be able to navigate the initial screen. Once you get into the game then you can lock in the two mini controllers and they will work as expected.
