Convex Illusions Quilt Pattern by Quilt Art

Since I love bargello, this went together very easily and is similar to bargello. It looks way more complicated than it is. Then I got creative and just did the center, pic 2, as a wall hanging. That took some thinking though. First big one is a window covering. I've done several of the smaller ones for a non-profit organization silent auction and for gifts. You do need permission of the copyright holder to sell or donate for auctions.

This is a fun pattern to make. It requires precision to match the seams on the center section. Pin each seam or you may have to take it out! But it is worth the trouble. I found the instructions very detailed and quite clear. I read over things several times to be sure. Before attaching the border, I watched the youtube video - excellent. She makes things very clear, and the results are rewarding.

This pattern is so cool! I haven’t made it yet but it’s the next quilt that I’ll make, after I finish the 3 I’m doing. I love the 3-D effect.

Directions are hard to follow and Poorly written. Video helps some but toward the end it got harder. Beautiful once done!
