I understand that flaxseed oil contains omega 3, 6 and 9 which makes it a viable alternative to fish oil. It's different from fish though in that it's vegan and doesn't have any fishy taste. The capsules are easy to swallow and have no aftertaste. They also have a good long 'use by' date, however, it does suggest that once opened they should be consumed within 12 months.The capsules themselves are in a soft gel form, and they're in a self seal foil lined pouch. The pouch would fit easily through the letter box, so no waiting around for the postman. The recommended serving is two per day, so the supply will last just under seven weeks. I think his is excellent value given the price.

Since vegans do not eat fish and hence fish oil, I believe this is the format that vegan omega 3 comes in.I’ll be honest, I’m not vegan - I’m perfectly happy to take fishy omege 3, but I chose these specifically for the flaxseed aspect rather than the omega.It’s difficult to review such things without making health claims, but I have personally found that in entering perimenopause, flaxseed is beneficial for me as an oestrogen balancer. Of course, you need to make your own assessment.Eating whole flaxseed is difficult, either on food or blended up, so these are a great way to get it in there, very easily!They are soft gel capsules, and not that big comparatively. They have no smell, taste or after taste and go down very easily.There are 90 casules in the pouch and a serving is 2, making the pouch a 45 day supply. That makes them a decent price for me given a comparison to whole flax.
