SB SOX Compression Socks for Men & Women (20-30mmHg)

OK! So I am old and I fly a lot (sometimes very far), and I depend on compression socks to protect me. Most that I have bought still show edema on arrival. These, absolutely not! There are many products that I love on Amazon, but I do not gloat on most! Except these I have only flown twice with them, but zero edema is my indication that these work well. Most pairs that I have bought fail after two or three uses so maybe I’m a little bit early, but I am very impressed with these, in fact, I will be buying a few pairs soon. These are extremely comfortable and, so far, I have zero evidence of edema. Pretty good indication that these are doing their job. Avoid DVT at all cost! I may even go to wearing these full-time. UPDATED REVIEW: 6 years later. When I initially bought compression socks 6 years ago, I bought a few different brands. This brand is the best & my favorite from the different brands. It’s been 6 years & I just purchased two additional pairs. Yes, they pill (as I noted in my first review below). That’s not an issue, as it in no way affects the functionality. Regarding my first review & having an issue with the tightness when sleeping with them on…….you’re not supposed to sleep with them on, so I stopped doing that. The tightness of the socks are perfect. I appreciate the variety of colors. I absolute love the longevity of these socks. 6 years in & all of the SB Sox I purchased have 0 issues. The elasticity is as good today as it was when brand new. I can say that’s not the case with all compression socks. I recently threw out another brand, as that brand’s sock lost it’s compression. NOTE: I do not put these socks in the dryer, as over time, the heat can break down the elasticity. I air dry them after every washing. If you are looking for a great pair of comfortable, supportive & long lasting compression socks, this is the brand for you. My massage therapist recommended that I get compression socks to assist with a painful arthritic toe & related the swelling that had been impeding my daily activities. I did a lot of research to better educate myself on compression socks, how they should feel, how to measure for the proper fit, benefits of the socks etc. Once I completed that research, I read hundreds of reviews (on Amazon) on the numerous brands that offer compression socks. I purchased a pair of SB Sox as well as two other brands. So far, these are my favorite pair. I can feel the compression thru my calf and the cushioning provided in the entire foot is quite noticeable. From my toes to my heel, my foot was resting on what feels like padded softness. I did not have this experience with the other two brands. The band at the top is secure and I have not had any slipping. I find it to be tight enough to stay up by not so tight as to cause discomfort, pain or indentation on my leg. I wore them to bed (even though much of what I read did not recommend this). I had no discomfort during night from the socks and woke up with minimal swelling in my foot and both my foot and legs felt really, really good. I then wore them to work where I was on my feet all day. Where as in the past, a full day on my feet would have me limping by day's end, this particular day I found myself with minimal foot pain and my feet felt really good. I didn't want to take them off at the end of the day because my lower legs and feet felt so good. I did machine wash and air dry them. They held up great. One thing I noticed (that I had read in another review of these socks) is that the heel / toe part of the socks started to pill up. At this point, it is just cosmetic and the benefits I receive from these socks out weight the pilling. After work I put on another pair from a different manufacturer (I'll call Brand #2). With the SB Sox being the first pair of compression socks that I've ever worn, I had nothing to compare them to. I wore Brand #2 to bed. Brand #2 did not have the same padding in the feet, although the compression through out my calf on Brand #2 was great. The big downfall for me on this brand was that the band at the top of the sock was so tight, I woke up and had to take the socks off because it was hurting too much. I was disappointed as the compression was great. Tonight I will try Brand #3. I can say that I woke up today and bought my second pair of SB Sox. I also decided to purchase ankle compression socks to wear to bed in lieu of the knee high compression socks.

Okay, I’m hesitant to write a review after only one day of wearing these, but they’re just so dang comfy! The second I put them on, I could tell they’d be better than the other 2 brands I have (Motif Medical (thin & not cute) & MomCozy (good compression, cute, but too long)). The biggest difference is how cushioned the feet are. They feel like nice athletic socks! I think with how soft the material is on the bottoms of the feet, they’ll likely pill, but that doesn’t bother me. And how cute is this hot pink? I have to wear these every day for pregnancy varicose veins, so I’m trying to be as fashionable as possible since it’s spring/summer and everyone can see them, haha. The only reason I knocked off a star is because according to their size chart, I should be a small, but I ordered a small & a medium, and the mediums fit PERFECTLY, while the small was too short in the feet and the calf. And if you read this far, I apologize for the crayoned play table, the toddlers are always one step ahead!

I love these socks! They are definitely the most comfortable compression socks I have ever worn and they help tremendously. I have venous insufficiency in both legs with +3 pitting edema and would get excruciating muscle spasms in my calves that would pull me out of a deep sleep and last for up to an hour. I started wearing these 12+ hours daily, even when exercising, and haven't had a single spasm for days, plus the edema has decreased tremendously. The sizing chart is precise and the socks fit perfectly. I was told to get size medium to large or size 3 socks by my cardiologist, and that matched exactly with SB's chart. The foot fits perfectly, the heal "cushiness" is great when exercising, and there's plenty of room in the toes without bunching. Plus, I love the variety of bright colors. These are far superior to the cheap socks I bought from some Chinese company. Six pairs of those socks cost less than one pair of the SB Sox, but you get what you pay for! The other socks did little to help with the spasms and the edema and pinched my toes, plus if I fell asleep in my recliner with them on they would cut off circulation and make things worse. So far, this has not been a problem with the SB socks. My only criticism is that it would be helpful if the washing instructions came with the socks rather than in the the follow-up email. I guessed when washing the first pair yesterday and dried them on low in my dryer instead of air drying. They seem to be fine, did not shrink and have maintained their softness, fit, compression, and breathability, but my guess is if I continue drying them in the dryer, they won't last as long as they should.

I wear a size 10 and followed the sizing chart, which recommended a Medium. Unfortunately, they were much tighter than expected. After about 3 hours of wear, I had to remove them because they were too uncomfortable. In hindsight, I should have ordered a Large instead. That said, the overall quality seems very good. The material feels durable, and I liked that the sole had some extra padding for added comfort. I do wish I had exchanged them for a larger size while I had the chance. If you’re between sizes or prefer a slightly less snug fit, you may want to consider sizing up.

First, and foremost, I am thoroughly delighted with these compression socks! Upon ordering these for the first time, I used the size chart to choose the medium size based on my calf measurement, though my shoe size indicated I should choose the large size. I picked the smaller one because I was concerned the compression would be too weak (as with a different brand I had tried). When I first unboxed them, I immediately noticed that the foot portion looked clearly smaller than all of my other pairs. Once on my foot, I felt pressure on the tips of my toes that seemed sufficient to become uncomfortable. I contacted SB Sox to ask about exchanging the medium pair for a large, hoping that the compression would still be sufficient. I received a very prompt reply to my query, though I had expected to wait a while because my message was sent after normal business hours. I received such a kind and generous reply from Sam! Sam offered to send me a size large with expedited shipping for free and continued to say that I did not need to return the original pair, but invited me to pass them on to someone else, keep them, or do with them whatever I chose. I am always surprised by such generous and prompt customer service because it is so rare these days! I have received the large pair, and I am delighted with them in every way. The construction, appearance, fabric quality are all great. Most importantly, the compression is sufficient to satisfy my expectations, with no perceivable difference from the smaller size. The compression is an important factor for me. The first compression socks I ever tried were the CEP brand. I bought them at a fancy local shoe store called Fleet Feet, and I paid $60 per pair!!! They are well constructed, and they offer excellent compression, but really, $60/pair - a bit impractical. Then, in an effort to save some $$, I ordered a pair of the Physic Gear brand from Amazon that cost only $18 - a significant saving. However, the compression they provide is so much weaker than the CEP brand, they really don’t seem to me like they should be called compression socks at all - barely tighter than some regular socks I have worn. I began to conclude that the only way to achieve sufficient compression was to pay the exorbitant price. Still, I decided to try once again, and after studying reviews, I chose the SB Sox, and I am very glad I did. They serve my needs perfectly, and the price is very affordable. My only caution to other shoppers is related to the sizing issue. If there is a discrepancy between the size indicated by calf size and shoe size, and if the size recommended based on shoe size is the larger of the two, I recommend you choose the larger size. Thank you, Sam (and SB Sox) for so generously helping me learn which size is appropriate for me. I will definitely be buying more of these from you in the future - I no longer have any need to look elsewhere!!!

Ich bin beruflich durch Gartenpflege mehrere Stunden pro Tag mit vielen Laufkilometern unterwegs und trage entweder während oder auch nach der Arbeit für 3-4 Stunden diese Strümpfe, dadurch werden Muskelkater, Verspannungen etc. gelindert , hatte im Vorjahr in der linken Wade 2 fachen Muskelfaserriss und in der heurigen Saison ist das Bein nun noch nicht ganz fit und habe immer wieder Probleme, die aber nun durch den Strumpf sehr gut zu bewältigen sind, bzw. leichte Schmerzen immer wieder toll durch das Tragen gelindert werden, da die Waden durch die Kompression die Stoffe besser durch die Venen abtransportiert werden! Sehr zu empfehlen, Sportler übrigens verwenden ja diese auch...

Really happy with these as a first pair of compression socks. They fit and feel great. Delivery was quick and faster than expected seen as it's December.

Bought the socks to help with foot cramps. The socks felt difficult to put on properly. Inquired from SBSox of size etc. To ensure that I have orderrd the correct size, they required calf measurements etc. On notifying size, they assured me the size was correct for my feet, further more sent information and links on how best to put the compression socks on etc. The after sale service provided was prompt, courteous and more. Having worn the socks, the compression felt good, not too tight or too loose. The quality of the material was excellent too matches the service offered. I am happy to recommend both the company and the product.

I was diagnosed with a varicose vein in my leg. So I bought these socks. A bit sceptical I admit but they really work. Easy to put on and take off. They stopped the pain in my leg straightaway. Not too thick so my shoes still feel comfy. The inside of the foot part is slightly fluffy so keep my feet warm too. I will be ordering another pair.
