Organic Green Stevia Leaf Powder (1/2 lb) by Naturevibe Botanicals | Raw | (8 Ounces) [Packaging May Vary]

Having grown stevia in my garden in PA before moving to AZ, I expected this stevia powder to taste the same. It did not; in fact I thought it tasted terrible! I drink a lot of herbal/green teas, but after trying a bit in my tea, I could barely finish it. Even adding my favorite honey didn’t help - the stevia overpowered it (I had used only 1/2 tsp of the stevia powder, as recommended). I had been using Stevia in the Raw previously, which I really liked, but I began reading negative reviews about the additives being unhealthy, so I decided to try “pure” stevia. I didn’t want to throw it away so I gave it one more chance, this time using less than an 1/8 tsp plus a touch of honey. It was just the right of sweetness (had a slight earthy taste) and I actually enjoy it now. I follow an organic, whole, plant-based, no sugar diet. This stevia powder and monk fruit extract will now be my go-to sweeteners.

This is ground Stevia leaves. Not sure if other reviewers have eaten Stevia leaves from the plant, but the taste was pretty much what I knew Stevia to taste like. Unless you grow your own plants, then this is probably close to the best you will get.Pros:No additives, organic, processed to kosher standards. Plus all the benefits of stevia that you can read about online.Cons:None from my perspective. However, since it is the ground leaves you can expect it to affect the taste and color of food/beverages, take longer to dissolve, be less sweet than the processed stevia, whether powder, tinctures etc.Other info:This does not state whether or not it is raw. That can be very important information to some users. If this is the case for you I suggest you try to contact the manufacturer who is Naturevibe (look at the label to get the web site). One other thing is that it will take 3-5 times the amount of powdered stevia for the same sweetening effect. Your mileage may vary. Lastly, regarding the effects on taste and color, consider how much you will be adding. It's really not much, so the change is very negligible.If you want the benefits of going less processed, this is a good choice.

I'm trying to get my husband to eat more naturally. He does already use the granular Stevia, but that's not exactly "natural". I convinced him to try this. I did read the reviews that complained that it didn't dissolve, but I'm not sure what they were expecting from a plant? It's essentially sugar tea? It's not supposed to dissolve? Anyway... knowing that it was a plant and wouldn't dissolve, he puts it in his coffee grounds before putting the water over it. It took him a bit to get used to the the flavor, but he said it wasn't gross, it just tasted "planty", which makes sense. He must like it though because he asked me to grow my own. We'll be experimenting with it in some of his baked goods, but for now, it works perfectly in his coffee in the morning. And because you use so little in each use, it lasts a pretty long time. Until I can grow it, we'll be purchasing this again.

If you want something that is sweet and you don't mind and earthy/grassy taste this is it. I enjoy it in my matcha tea, or matcha, Ashwagandha, Turmeric Tea. I try to avoid too much sugar and I can't/won't do Sucralose - Splenda; Saccharin, Aspartame - Nutrasweet, Equal, Saccharin - Sweet 'N Low, Sweet Twin, Sugar Twin. I don't really like the processed stevia the white stuff or clear liquid, I kept wanting to like it but I don't. Now the green leaf all dried crushed just adds the right sweetness and helps keep me away from the sweets so I can keep more keto than not.

First use of this brand of green stevia. So far taste is great and sweetness. Price is good especially when purchase two. Only bought 1 to try before order again. as Organic non gmo and can only take sellers word for it. Will more likely buy agai at this price. Just wish wasn't mass produced as suspect in India.

Makes everything taste like herbal plant tea. Doesn't mix well with hot, warm, nor cold drinks. Leaves grainy consistency in drinks, that kind of chokes you a little, as you drink. A large amount settles at bottom of glass, no matter how much you stir, so a lot is wasted.I still use it though, because of all the nutritional benefits it has. When I want a better flavor/texture, and when making a drink for company, I use the white, processed, stevia powder.

Sorry to say, the taste was terrible. I used the recommended amount, but the white organic Stevia was far better.
