Tapes Master 10 Rolls - 1" x 36 Yds 1 Mil Kapton Tape - Polyimide High Temperature Heat Rresistant Tape with Silicone Adhesive - No Residue

I had a GPU that needed a reflow... sure you can oven bake it like a cave man, or use a heat gun like a pro, but you always want to keep things safe and neat and work where you want to work at. The tape came on and off with no issues and protected the rest of the GPU from an unwanted or un-needed heat from the heat gun. No residue was left after removal and I have to recommend this to anyone that is needing to either de-solder or apply heat to components of electrical basis/matter.

I've tried to order lower cost Kapton-like tape from Amazon before and received colored tape that literally melts at fairly low temps. This one actually seems to hold up - good film, good adhesive. I'll be ordering more of this.

Great for electrical work, especially heating elements. A brazing torch seems to be required to burn this stuff. This tape doesn't leave sticky residue the way electrical tape does. I use this for all sorts of tasks related to my 3D printer.

I kept burning the silicone shroud of some horsehair 8AWG cable I was soldering with a blow torch and had some of this Kapton tape laying next to me. I wrapped it around the silicone that was just next to the area being soldering with a blow torch and ta-da! no more breathing burned silicone for this guy! Very stick, easy to cut. Good stuff. And cheap, too!

I am assembling battery packs (LiPO SPIM08HP) to replace the constantly failing Ryobi batteries (since 2016, 2 of the 4 40 Volt battery's have failed, even when I recovered them, they only lasted about one additional year). I have used Kapton tape in manufacturing for many years and am glad to see it is available retail. As stated, the tape does NOT leave residue when removed, provides excellent electrolytic resistance and stands up to soldering better than any other tape. Only con, price.

I use it for protection of circuit boards, and insulating contacts on 18650 battery packs I build. It sticks very well, it's robust, so it doesn't puncture or tear like other polyamide tapes. I've used it for 3d printing, sublimation printing, and other things. Just all around great tape! As an aside, I usually tear it with my mouth. I'm not going to say it has a pleasing flavor, but if you've tasted some of the other poly tapes? They'll make you gag! This one doesn't really bother me. just an FYI!

If you are looking at this listing you either already know what this stuff is or you are confused why this stuff keeps popping up when you look for electrical tape. Kapton is fantastic: it's got megohms of resistance, it peals off perfectly clean, lasts forever, resists UV damage, has about a bajillion degrees temperature range, and, considering it's utility, I'd say it's dirt cheap Love the stuff, pick up a roll of this miracle and be converted to the kapton cult.
