Works great for cleaning exposed metal surfaces... and as part of a vinyl LP cleaning regimen
I bought Citranox for use as part of a 4-step cleaning method for vinyl LPs. It works great for this, but I've found it has many other uses. We have some old, mid-century glassware with years of calcium buildup/dishwasher residue. Citranox has removed much of the scale from these cool heirloom glasses. It also brightens and cleans exposed metal surfaces. Not cheap, but this bottle will likely be a lifetime supply.

Used This For Brass Instrument Ultrasonic Cleaning
Worked wonderfully on my brass instruments in the ultrasonic bath. The bath held about 12 gallons. The instructions say to use 3-5 tablespoons per gallon which would call for 36 Tablespoons (2 1/4 cups) to 60 Tablespoons (3 3/4 cups). Deciding that this is probably an acceptable mixture for brass tools or bullet casings, I divided this in half and sent the instruments into a 20-30 minute bath. The instruments came out very clean with oxides removed. They were rinsed and are in wonderful order. I have washed three unlaquered horns and two trumpets.

Works Great on Rifle Casings
This stuff beats the Lyman TurboSonic cleaning solution and according to the reviews on-line is easier on your brass than vinegar compounds. Also it is more environmentally friendly than most.I used it in the Lyman TurboSonic 2500 ultrasonic cleaner using the heater function. The .308 brass that I cleaned had mostly been previously wet cleaned in a Tumblr with stainless steel pins, Dawn detergent and Lemishine. I wanted to see if additional carbon was removed and to my surprise it was. The brass came out slightly shinier and there was some solids in the bottom of the tank and the solution was cloudy indicating that material was removed.I also put a few pieces of brass thru it that had not been previously wet cleaned and the results were the same. This dilutes 1:75 or about 2 ounces per gallon of water so per batch is cheaper than most other options.

Great product for Ultrasonic cleaners
I have used this for several years and it never fails to perform. I dilute it approximately 50 parts water to 1 part Citrinox and the brass looks like factory new.

Citranox is an efficient cleaner with the capability of removing thin oxides from metal surfaces. I use it mostly with an ultrasonic cleaner on titanium and copper/copper alloys. The slight etching is very visible on copper surfaces that can go from dull and dark to bright and pristine in just a few minutes. Be careful with the length of the cleaning procedure, especially at elevated temperatures, since it can literally eat away your parts.

Great with ultrasonic cleaner for carb jets, but be carefull
Works great. Nasty dirty carb jets come out of the ultrasonic brighter than new. It's midly acidic, so make sure to rinse it off well. Be carefull if you put entire carburators in it, reacts with aluminum, pot metel. had issues with brass passage plugs popping out with this cleaner.

A must have for glassblowers
I'm a glassblower. I work with borosilicate glass, and it's important for it to be really clean to minimize bubbles and maintain optical clarity. It's a bit more laborious to use than windex, and it needs to be rinsed off, but the end result is definitely worthwhile.
