Truth be told, I got this exercise club to use entirely in an unapproved manner but ended up using it as it was intended. Its design is perfect for sitting at your desk during breaks to keep your hands, arms and shoulders from stiffening up from work. Using it is second nature if you had gym class in grade school where these kinds of weights were used and the proper techniques were taught. Most people remember the bowling pin weights from "Back in the Day" and this club is just the natural progression. All the same exercise principles apply.It's well made and looks cool.And yes...it can be used as a CLUB if needed. It serves double duty as an emergency home defense item. I got the 5lb version and let me tell you, it can mess up a burglar's day real quick.

These are weighted equally. Though they seem a little over 10lbs. The price is reasonable. They appear high polished in the product images but do not appear so in person. They appear to have a dry coating preventing rust that can be wiped off. They’re solid.

I bought two 10 lb steel maces to add to my Persian clubs, and mace collection. I enjoy the workout I get from them in my forearms and upper body. Due to lengthy illness over last few years I am trying to lose weight and gain strength, circulation and stamina back. I have lighter clubs I had for a couple years but I wanted to move up from four pound clubs to ten and you really feel the difference. I do a modified workout using the clubs while I am using my sit down electric under desk type elliptical. Provides a good workout and has been helping me get better and better each day. Plus these are very beautiful and unique mace clubs. Warning look into the clubs but start out lower weight because you still feel it in the various smaller muscles in the wrist, arms and shoulders and stomach area.

I used this mace as a prop during Baccalaureate Sunday at church, alongside a stainless steel lavaliere . I used them to teach the students about the role of being youth & young adult director invested by our church congregation. I let them feel the weight that I carried & verbally tied it to the congregation’s & denomination’s expectations.
