These are actually incredible.
The media could not be loaded. A while back I had a bad experience with a Sakura Gellyroll white pen, so I avoided them for years. I picked this set up at a local store recently and I now realize I have been severely missing out!The colors just POP on black paper, it is incredible and exactly what I was looking for. It's interesting too how the color goes on a little darker than it dries, when it dries it is so bright it's almost like it's glowing sometimes. I'm really glad I went with this small pastel set, It's a great introductory set. Just enough colors for variety, not so many that I'm overwhelmed with choices either.Sometimes they do skip and you'll need to scribble, that comes with the territory of gel pens. But so far these have been more reliable than a lot of others I have tried.Knowing how to use them will give you the best experience possible. Here are some tips:It helps to "clean" the roller ball before each session, just by using your finger to remove any gel gunk that might have dried up. It also helps to warm them up, literally. Don't be in a super-cold environment, and also do a little bit of drawing on scrap paper before working on your actual art. This is how I have the best experience with them, once they're all ready to go they flow like a DREAM.Overall these pens are fun, beautifully pigmented, and quite reliable. I think I will use them up quickly because they don't last as long as other types of pen (this is true of all gel pens) and I like them so much I want to use them all the time! A worthwhile investment for anyone who loves gel pens, especially if you need ones that work really well on dark paper.
