Was cautious at first, but turns out...it's a good lock!
Searched and searched for a 'sliding' door smart lock and stumbled on this one. After doing considerable research, found this lock at a very good price when compared to the same lock on other sites. If you have tools to mill, the lock comes with a template. If not, hire someone with the appropriate tools to have it professionally installed. It's worth it. ! Feedback from my use and from the installer:Pros:- Nice look and feel, voice prompts and responses are crystal clear.- Audible notification when the door is locked/unlocked.- Easy setup for fingerprint and the key-card registration. Literally took less than 30 seconds!- Can send e-keys (even to multiple recipients at once) via text message or email- E-keys offer lots of flexibility. They can be timed (i.e for visitors), permanant (no end date), or selected days (i.e key only works on Mondays!)- Manual or app generated (4-9 digit) pass-codes that can be shared via sms or email- Physical keys (2 incl) if the 4 AAA batteries run out of juice and you can't use a pin or key-card (2 incl)- Narrow footprint (1/2 inch wide) means it should fit most doors (mine is an Anderson sliding, with integrated blinds).- You can opt to install this in conjunction with the original door lock; original lock can then serve as an indoor safetly lock.Cons:- The mortise lock (I'm told!) wasn't the same build quality as the installer was accustomed to (i.e. a little flimsy, but works well!); hard opening and closing might cause a failure in the mortise.- The lock is not compatible to Google Home, Nest, Alexa, etc. It's a standalone app. Works great, but still no integration with popular smart home apps.- The app appears sketchy at first but that's only because the included QR code to download the app, redirects you to Chinese language site (you can translate on the site). You can also opt to download the app from Google Play (trusted download).- Sharing e-keys means the recpient has to install the TT Lock App for proximity opening/closing- The app will only unlock the door via proximity (note: Yale-Nest Locks can open the door from the other side of the planet!)- UPDATE: There is a flaw in the pin number unlock. If you have a 4-digit pin, you can enter 20 digits and as long as the last 4 match, it'll unlock. Try it !There are a lot of other locks out there that offer similar capabilities at a premium price point. Maybe even offers the total smart-home integration. But if this fits your use case, and the con's are too off-putting, it's a pretty good choice.

disappointing, difficult to install, doesn't do what I was hoping
let's start with the goodPros:once installed, it looks nice and (theoretically) adds some functionality to patio doorCons:it was very difficult to installit was missing a couple screwsthey don't include the necessary double mortise keeper to actually... you know, be able to lockit cannot actually lock/unlock your door *** more on that further downit is not what I'd call a "smart" lockI purchased this lock because it is literally the only product available of it's kind - a "smart" lock for a sliding glass door. But I guess there's a reason the more reputable brands like Wyze didn't bother to try and create a solution for patio doors. First and foremost, there seems to be no standardization when it comes to lock design for sliding doors. Some use a single mortise, some use a double mortise, some use a simple thumb latch, and there doesn't seem to be any kind of standard for size or design, whereas door knobs for hinged doors are pretty universal. None of the lock designs for sliding doors seem terribly secure to me, but then again, if someone really wanted to break into my house, it takes zero effort to smash through a door or window and gain entry. But lets talk about THIS lock and why I regret purchasing it.You will have to HEAVILY modify your door which is a destructive process and can't be undone. So if you mess it up, you're going to be buying a new patio door. In my case, modifying the door to accommodate the lock body and door handle actually required removing my heavy glass patio door entirely and then had to use a combination of a powerdrill, an angle grinder and a dremel to cut MULTIPLE VERY LARGE HOLES in my door. Even after using the (borderline useless) included templates, the holes required a lot of adjustment before everything lined up correctly and the locking mechanism could cleanly engage and disengage.Once installed, I had to figure out something to do about the mortise keeper. the lock previously on my door had a single mortise keeper. The included bracket, which is a flat piece of metal about 1/8" thick did not come with any additional hardware, standoffs or anything to actually indicate how one might install it. I ended up having to go buy two individual single mortise keepers at my local hardware store which were a pain to install and adjust as well.Eventually I was able to get the lock installed and everything working but at this point all I've actually netted myself was a way to unlock my patio door from outside using a keypad or fingerprint. The lock is NOT a smart lock like my Wyze locks which can automatically lock themselves and alert you when someone unlocks them either through the app, keypad or manually. This lock does none of those things. In fact, the app doesn't seem to do anything. after syncing the app0 with the door, It never actually locks or unlocks. It says it does, and you can hear the motor inside turning, but it doesn't actually engage the mortise lock, or really do anything that I can tell. You still have to manually lock or unlock the door from the handle. Also, there's no wifi on this lock, just bluetooth, so there's obviously no Alexa skill. So even if the door could actually be locked or unlocked from the app, (it can't) I wouldn't be able to incorporate it with the rest of my home automation.Basically all I did by installing this lock was 1. create a big mess of metal shavings to clean up, 2. permanently alter my patio door so that I can't uninstall the lock even if I wanted to (and believe me, I definitely do) and 3. add a way to unlock the backdoor from outside (which could be good or bad depending on how you look at it)disappointed with this purchase. I'd return it if I could, but I'm kind of stuck with it since I can go back to the old lock and replacing it at this point would mean buying a new sliding glass door. I would have been better off just buying a length of closet rod and laying it in the track at night. So much for "smart"

Poor construction
The media could not be loaded. The lock has a cool look to it. I'm on the second handle the metal Inside is very thin. Causes the handle to separate at door. You have to cut out so much on door you can never go back to the original lock. Very disappointed with how easy it moves around when screws are tight. If door wasn't all cut up I would ask for refund.

Nice quality and straightforward install
It was difficult finding a smart lock for my sliding door, so I was skeptical on fit and function. This one has really exceeded my expectations though, as far ad quality of product and set up.Iām just an average DIYer retrofitting my handles, and the only hard part was drilling and cutting the holes to install. For pros, itāll be very easy. For average homeowner, YMMV as long as you have the right tools to cut through the aluminum/metal frame. Thereās a provided template to follow, and once all thatās done, attaching the handle itself just took minutes.Thereās a Chinese app youāll need to install (TTlock) which lets you finalize setting it up. Does seem sketchy, but thereās English and itās worked great. Iām sure you can delete and clear it after set up if youāre concerned about privacy. What I love about this handle is that the fingerprint sensor is very accurate. It comes with two little cards that youāll need to program if you want to use that instead, or just use the numerical keypad. Havenāt had any issues getting locked out at all. Also to clarify, unlike deadbolt locks which will automatically lock itself, this one has an āauto lockā but youāll still need to twist the handle upwards to mechanically engage the lock. āLockingā in this case makes it so the exterior handle does not engage the lock mechanism.
