PREMIUM RACKS Coat Rack & Hat Rack - Modern Design - Wall Mounted - Stylish - (Black)

This is my 2nd purchase from this company of the same rack. I purchased the first one in white several years ago, and I just purchased another one in black. These racks are very high-quality METAL. The paint seems inherent to the metal. It does NOT flake off, and we even have the white one outside, albeit semi-protected. The assembly of these racks is very simple and the directions are included. The only "negatives" are very minor, but I will mention them. My husband (who mounted the racks onto the wall) complained that the it would have been nicer if the manufacturer had put the latch lip on the rack stem rather than on the mounts because you have to maneuver the drill around them. It's doable as it is, but just a little inconvenient. The other minor thing is that the silver screws really pop against the black mounts, so Imma gonna hit them with a bit of black paint to make them disappear. So, I guess I would say, black screws would be a better choice for the manufacturer to use. But these two "complaints" are really so minor that they don't take away from this product in the least. These racks are very sturdy, stylish, and will hold a lot of stuff! I received mine overnight, too!

I just received this today and mounted it on the wall. As a previous reviewer stated, each bracket has one of its two screw holes partly blocked by the bracket itself, so I had to angle my cordless screwdriver to drive the screw. I was not going to mount the hat rack too close to the edge of the wall as I knew I would hit studs and the enclosed screws/molly bolts are intended for sheetrock. But, my wife thought it would look better at the edge, so I hunted in my toolshed and found 4 gold wood deck screws with the right sized heads, about 2 inches long, and used those to drive into the wood. The enclosed screws are too short as you generally have about 1/2 inch of sheetrock to penetrate before reaching wood. Just be aware of this if you are not intending to use the molly bolts. Other than that, the installation was straightforward. To install, I assembled the rack first. The plastic sleeves that hold the 3 sections together was a pretty tight fit so I got them started by hand then tapped the ends of the rack against the carpeted floor to drive the sleeves in completely. Each end is protected by a black plastic cap, so this was a safe operation. It took some vigorous taps to finish the job but I am confident the rack is going to stay in one piece! Then I slid the brackets on. I needed the brackets to stay put while I held the rack against the wall, so I used masking tape to hold them in place against gravity. Once assembled, I held the rack against the wall and, with my wife's help, we leveled it and made the pencil marks for the 4 screw holes in the two brackets. I took the brackets off the rack and attached them to the wall, then slid the rack over the brackets. Make sure the mounting flanges are pointed up for both brackets! By the way, despite what others have written about the molly bolt sleeves, they are actually pretty sturdy, not wimpy at all. Any plastic molly bolt sleeve can deform when you pound it in if you don't predrill the right sized hole. Please believe me, I know, I have been there. The enclosed molly bolt kit is just fine. Other reviewers have stated that no instructions are included. Not entirely true, there is an assembly diagram, just no text. The enclosed picture shows my caps and work hats and I like the spacing. The rack gives each hat a chance to breath. Yes, this is one of the more expensive hat/coat racks on Amazon, but it is metal, very sturdy, and very attractive. The white finish matches my wall, so, in my mind, it is a good investment. Enjoy!

I love the look of this rack and it's super sturdy. I took off one star only because it was a bit of a hassle to install. The included hardware was not really working and I ended up using toggle bolts to secure it. Once up though it looks fantastic! I really like that it doesn't stick out from the wall as much as most of the other options. It's a low profile with enough clearance to easily hang hats without smooshing them.

Don’t have a coat closet so was looking for something stylish to go in my living room. These are just what my corner needed’

This is an extremely sturdy, modern, and aesthetically-pleasing piece of furniture/décor. The only negative critique I could give is that the directions are not very straight-forward, it's literally a tiny sheet of paper, with a "visual diagram" of 3 steps. I didn't feel like it helped me in figuring out how to put the piece together, regardless of it only being (5) pieces, and (4) screws. The coat-rack is split into (3) separate parts, plus (2) pieces that attach it to the wall. To fit the actual coat-rack (3) pieces together, you need to use a hammer, because otherwise, they will not fit together properly. When you try to interlock each tier, it stops at the 2nd groove, of the (4) grooves. This really confused me, until I looked back at pictures and reviews, and realized they needed to be hammered to "lock" into place. The hammering took literally 30 seconds, and now it's a solid and sturdy piece. Just be sure you're being careful, because hammering the top piece, if you chip or dent it, that is a top piece people will see. I wouldn't recommended using the nails it provides, just depending on the wall-type that you have in your house/apartment. I live in Florida, so drywall is not reliable. I had to use my own nails and stud-finder to really keep it in place. Will update with a picture later. Overall, I think it was well-made, and worth the price, maybe 10-15 dollars less.

When I initially started looking for towel hanger/storage for a hall bath, I felt like these were a little pricey. But, it turned out to be a great investment! It is well made and I expect it to last a lifetime. We have very little wall space in said hall bath. So, we used one of these for both towel storage and as a towel hanger. We roll-up our clean towels and stack them in the space between the wall and the rack and then use the branches for towels that are in-use. This application works well for us but others may not like how the used towels hang over each other. However, it works perfectly for our needs! However, the rack itself gets a ton of compliments, is very sturdy and it was relatively easy to install. The only caution I would urge is to make sure that you have a stud or similar where you want to install your rack. Initially, our contractor installed the rack in drywall using the drywall anchors and while it was secure and I do not think that it would have ripped out, it did feel a little wobbly and therefore less nice to me. So, I ended up moving it and securing it to a stud. and it's incredibly solid. But, with a little more planning, I would definitely buy it again!

I previously wrote a one-star review because there was a piece missing and I wasn't getting a satisfactory response from seller. I had returned the item for refund right before I received an email from seller stating a new unit was shipped to me. I explained I had already returned the item and was told that's fine, enjoy the new unit free of charge. It was very easy to assemble (3 whacks with a rubber hammer to join the segments, and it was mounted within 20 minutes. It's perfect for my small entryway.

I am a bit surprised with this rack. It says a premium rack, but I do not think this is a premium product, because: 1. The rack purchased is black, why the supplied mounting screws are silver? The screws should be black as the rack to blend nicely. 2. The instruction, or rather lack of it, shows how to insert each element. It would be good to have instructions with measurements of how far apart are the mounting holes. 3. This is my major point: The paint quality and finish are appalling. I can see paint runs on the front side of the rack in several places. The finish lack attention to detail.

This item was easy to install, and well made out of metal. My son loves it in his room, and it keeps his hoodies off the floor for once! So, that makes me HAPPY also! :)
