Works well to measure HVAC pressures
I wasn't sure how this would work but I plugged it into my manometer hose and then inserted into little test port holes at various places in my HVAC system. It works! Note that I found the orientation doesn't matter that much (in terms of facing into the airstream or away from it perfectly) - measurements consistent.

Velocity instrument "Old School" version.
This instrument is used to check air flow velocity combined with a "U" tube in inches of water pressure 1" water pressure equals 4005 FPM velocity. If multiplied by the area of a pipe you derive CFM at ambient temperature and sea level.

Good pitot tube
I like it but for one gripe . The tubing fittings aren’t the same 1/4” as they should be . Either use 3/16” or 1/4” not both .

Worked well with manometer
This worked well with a manometer to track down some problems that the AC caused. Helped me fix them.

Works, but is inconvenient to use
HVAC Service Technician Review It does what it supposed to do, but without a magnet to hold this thing in place, it becomes more trouble than it's worth. Ductboard isn't too much trouble unless you make too large of a hole, but Metal Plenums are simply impractical. I wouldn't buy this product again and recommend you don't unless you have a very specific need where this provides a better method than a probe with a magnet.

The static tubes (pitot tubes) are necessary for measuring air pressures within HVAC systems including HRV systems. As they are not normally included with the manometer, you need to purchase these separately. The quality is excellent and they allow the measurements to be taken with good accuracy. Delivery from the supplier was prompt and without issue.
