I use these stoppers with Primo standard 3 gallon bottles which have the same spout as the more common 5 gallon bottles. The first time you use a stopper it is very tight, but then is stretches a little and is fine. No leakage problems, the inner stopper worked fine and prevented leaking while loading the bottle and is attached to the cap so it doesn’t float around. The silicone does not effect the taste of the water either.

These are the best jug caps on Amazon. Reusable, easy to install/remove. Washable and durable. I was looking for an option to refill my 3/5 gallon water jugs at work. I bought 4 different types. This one, another one that’s similar, another one that wraps around the outside of the spigot(it’s more like a cover than an insert like these are), and some of the crappy plastic ones that were like $10 for 30 of them. They sell 30 of the plastic ones because you’ll go through them quickly and buy more. These silicone insert ones are the BEST. They’re secure yet they insert and remove easily, the inner cap pops out seamlessly when you pop the jug into your dispenser and they’re easily washable. I’m kind of crazy about washing stuff so I just put them in the top rack of my dishwasher. I did buy a few of these because I’ve got a bunch of jugs to fill. But I’m hoping I don’t need to buy anymore ever because I’ve got these.

Fit perfectly. We got for 5 gallon jugs we refill at the local Meijer and do not leak in the car. I was surprised how perfect and how many we got for the price.
