Does anyone else find the mat smells a bit? Trying to work out if we have a leak near the new nursery room or if it was the mat making the room smell!

I’ve not long received my mat and it does have a lingering chemical smell to it. My baby isn’t due yet so I’ve washed it multiple times and I've tried to air it out in the room for a week now but it still smells! If it were cheaper I would let this slide, but I’m returning it for a replacement.

what can this be cleaned with without damaging it? The incline although a pro also thinking will baby slide down as my baby is 6£ premature

Thank you for your question. We recommend that you clean the Squishy using warm soapy water and a soft sponge. Please do not use any chemicals as this can affect the surface of the changing mat. The gentle incline, raises baby’s head slightly helping to ease colic and reflux particularly after baby has been fed. The incline is not large enough for the baby to slide down the mat.
